LATEST: There has been hack attempts from India on January 13, 2011 between 16:45:01 - 16:46:47, from IP address 59.95.71.128, Host 59.95.71.128 from Maharashtra [Gandhibagh, Nagpur]. On January 13, 2011 at 13:05:08 hours, there was another hacking attempt from Brazil using IP address 187.41.191.55, Host 18741191055.user.veloxzone.com.br. Also a person sent a threat message from Botswana using IP address 168.167.95.41. On January 12, 2011, a number of hacking attempts into Weekly Blitz site took place from Malaysia. This fresh attempt took place days after Weekly Blitz published a report on activities of notorious Islamist group Hizb Ut Towhid, which has reportedly expanded its wings into a number of foreign nations including Malaysia. The three attempts took place between 00:55;39 to 00:56:14 hours on January 12 from IP address 115.134.199.133 [IP address country: Malaysia, IP address state: Terengganu, IP address city: Kuala Lumpur, Person: Emran Ahmed Kamal] using host 134.115.in-addr.arpa. Earlier, few more hacking attempts on Weekly Blitz site took place from the following IP addresses: IP address 123.49.25.27, host 123.49.25.27 from Dhaka [near Usmani Uddyan]. Hacking attempt took place on December 20 2010, at 22:17:27 hours. ISP of this IP is BTTB [now BTCL]. It may be mentioned here that, Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd [BTCL] is a state-owned enterprise in Bangladesh. On November 5, 2010 a number of hacking attempts took place from Turkey between 23:50:37 hours to 23:50:45 hours from IP address 85.106.175.184 using host address: dsl85-106-44984.ttnet.net.tr. It may be mentioned here that, hackers made series of attacks on Weekly Blitz site since the newspaper was launched in April 2003 because of its editorial policy against militant Islam. Islamists have also bombed the office of this newspaper and our office was attacked a number of times, including abduction of the editor at gun point in 2008. Bangladeshi Islamists consider Weekly Blitz as the 'Voice of Infidels'. The editor of this newspaper, Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury is facing sedition, treason and blasphemy charges since 2003 for voicing against militant Islam and for exposing the rise of Islamist militancy inside madrassas [Koranic schools]. Weekly Blitz has already turned into the most influential newspaper in Bangladesh which is continued to be deprived of getting any advertisement from local entrepreneurs for its anti-Jihadist editorial policy.
