Mumbai blast: Culprits must be punished
by Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury http://www.weeklyblitz.net/128/mumbai-blast-culprits-must-be-punished
India's busiest commercial district Mumbai rocked on November 27, 2008 when armed terrorists attacked innocent people with bullets and bombs in a number of public places thus leaving a large number of people killed and injured. We in Weekly Blitz definitely feel terribly shocked as well angry at such barbaric incident, which surely reminds us all once again that the entire world needs to get united in combating terrorism for a sake of a peaceful world. From the newspaper reports, what we have read, it gets quite clear that any well organized network under the patronization of regional espionage agency is behind such barbaric attack. Some analysts even feel that the Mumbai blast is a retaliation of recent bomb blast at Marriot hotel in Pakistan. In this case, for obvious reason, everyone will raise fingers at Pakistan's ISI for such notoriety in Mumbai. It is known to all that, Pakistan is already under the governance of Asif Ali Zardari, a man who is not only absolutely corrupt but has previous track record of his alliance with terrorism. It was reported in the media that, Zardari was the mastermind behind assassination of Murtaja Bhutto [brother of Benazir Bhutto]. It is even predicted that, Zardari had hands behind tragic assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Whatever the fact may be, there is surely no doubt that, Pakistan is now under the rule of some rogues and rascals like Asif Ali Zardari, who can do and undo anything for the sake of his personal interest. And, most importantly, Pakistan hold nuclear bomb, which is now a very clear threat to international peace and security as possession of Nuclear power in the hands of bad people or evil leaders are no good for the global security. Pakistan already has earned the bad name of patron of terror. It is known to all that, notorious Islamist militant groups like Al Qaeda are regularly sheltered by Pakistan for years, although its leaders are claiming to be partners in war on terror. According to analysts, Pakistan plays double standard in war on terror. At one hand it patronizes terrorism and on the other hand claims to be partners in combating terrorism. Such double standard in state policy of Pakistan is nothing new. The country is under such notorious policy since its inception. International communities are terribly shocked at the recent and tragic bomb blasts in Mumbai. Bangladesh, being a peace loving member of the international community has strongly condemned such barbarity. It is now time for the international community, especially the world powers to take unanimous steps in launching anti terror offensives on Pakistan for uprooting the roots of various forms of terrorism. receive the latest by email: subscribe to weekly blitz's free mailing list Comment on this item |
