Sweet and dazzling Keya in Black

Popular Bangladeshi actor Keya entered the film industry almost ten years. By now, she has worked in dozens of movies, some of which had huge success in the box office. Four years back, at the pick of her popularity in the film industry, Keya suddenly married an expatriate Bangladeshi and moved abroad with him, which she now considers to be the worst mistake in her life. At that time, I was hardly a teenager, when people mostly commit blunders. But in couple of years of leaving Bangladesh and marrying an expatriate, I started realizing that, it was in fact a huge mistake. My ex was not mentally stable, and even to my surprise, he fell in love with another person, whom he lately married, after I divorced.

On her return to Bangladesh, it was really tough to retain the lost position, as time and tide waits for none. But, considering Keya's previous record of good performance, a number of directors have already casted her in their movies. Being a powerful actor, Keya was always searching for working in a film based on off-track script.

One day, her fellow actor Aman Khan told about a movie named Black, which is being directed by internationally known award-winning journalist and media personality, Shoaib Choudhury. Keya did not think even twice to say yes to this film. She met Shoaib Choudhury on the same day of hearing about Black from Aman Khan and she was selected to play the main role. It may be mentioned here that, Aman Khan and Keya are now playing the main roles in Black. Award winning director and actor Kazi Hayat, who won numerous national awards for his work, has also consented to play an important role in Black.

Keya is known in Bangladesh as a sweet actress. Commenting on her, director Shoaib Choudhury said, "Keya is not new in the industry. But, of course, playing main role in Black is a huge challenge for her. She must take this very seriously. Working in any movie based on off-track script is no joke. Hopefully Keya will realize this."

He said, "I really do not want to consider her glamour or her track record in commercial films. This is completely a new area for her. And, she has to meet my expectation as a serious actor, while playing the role. People, who have worked with me are well aware that, I never compromise with the quality. This has already been established in the industry, whether I am a movie director or lyricist or composer. To me, there is no short-cut to perfection."

Model Marufa Nila was earlier signed to play the main role in Black, who has recently been dropped from the team. Commenting on this, director Shoaib Choudhury said, "Nila was expected to be serious in her work. But, basically she is a physician and model. And, if course; there is huge difference between a doctor or a model and an actor. She possibly can become a successful physician and good model, but, she must learn a lot to become an actor."

He said, "Nila was in hurry as her internship as physician will start soon. So, her exit from Black was mutually agreed. I wish her success in professional life as a doctor."

Responding to a question, if there was any chance for Keya even to be dropped from Black, Shoaib Choudhury said, "I am not an astrologer, who can forecast the future. The whole issue depends on how much serious Keya will be on this film. She has to be completely focused on it and absolutely prepared to play the role."
