Did the worst ever fascist, dictator and murderer like Adolph Hitler finally survive? Do we precisely remember the final fate of the dictators and fascists in the history of the world? Why the politicians in Bangladesh and Pakistan in particular always try to ultimately establish a kind of dynastic rule under the garb of democracy? What had been the fate of such politicians in Bangladesh? I am sure, we all know the answer. But, unfortunately, politicians never learn from the past or the history. They repeatedly commit the same mistake, which actually caused them to be rejected by the people. But, one point they sure fail to either realize or understand is, fascism, autocracy or any sort of tactic to intimidate the civilians of the country, only contributes in quicker demise of the tenant of the people or parties in power. Since I was released from prison in April 2005, this is for the first time that a "democratically elected" government has imposed undue ban on my foreign tours, which came into effect from last week of June 2011. The policymakers of the government feel that, my foreign tours would "only contribute in tarnishing the image of Bangladesh." Well, with all my modesty, let me ask the policymakers of the current government in Bangladesh or even the Prime Minister as to what "image" they have been able to build for Bangladesh in the international arena? According to foreign media, the current government is just repeating the same blunders of its political predecessors. Bangladesh has already been ranked amongst the failed states in the world. Economy of the country is in the worst-ever shape. Since January 2009, when the current government came in power, there has not been any foreign investment in the country. It is assumed that, foreign investors are very much unwilling to put their money in Bangladesh as the law and order situation in the country has severely deteriorated during the current government. Electricity crisis is gradually increasing, while the government miserably failed in addressing this issue, though many of the to- figures in the government, including the Prime Minister made numerous pledges to the people of improving the electricity crisis within the span of two years from the day of forming the government. The current government had already crossed two and half years of its tenure and instead of improving the situation, they actually have visibly failed in addressing the electricity crisis. Terrorism, nepotism and corruption is nothing new in Bangladesh. But, for the first time, during the rule of Bangladesh Awami League, reign of terror has already been established by the members of the student and youth front of the ruling party. Law enforcing agencies are visibly helpless in this situation, as there is unwritten instructions to the members of the law enforcing agencies to "ignore" or "over-see' any "unforeseen" incidents by the thugs of the ruling party. The current government is continuing to fail miserably in various international issues in upholding the interest of Bangladesh, due to the bankrupt diplomacy introduced by the merely naïve foreign minister and her team of either sycophants or feet-lickers. The Prime Minister is visibly captive in the hands of the members of her "Cabinet of Digital Bangladesh". Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made specific pledge to the people of the country of providing at least one new job to each of the families in Bangladesh. But, in reality, during her tenure, thousands of expatriate Bangladeshis were returned from various Arab nations as well as Malaysia and European countries, thus adding to the number of unemployed people in the country. Tourism sector is facing severe challenge during the current government as foreigners are already turning their faces away from Bangladesh. Main reason behind this is again – law and order situation. Against series of failures, the Awami League government has been extremely successful in implementing one of its top agendas. They are already marching ahead towards establishment of one-party rule named BKSAL as well as are very carefully continuing their policy of cleansing political opponents. Bangladesh Awami League has a political monkey like former autocrat General Hussein Muhammed Ershad as the partner of the so-called Grand Alliance government. Interestingly enough, most of the partners of this so-called Grand Alliance either are Leftists or Islamists. Here, Awami League has been able to create a political ground to house anti-West leftists as well as anti-Semitic Islamists. It may be mentioned here that, Bangladesh Awami League made a written commitment to one of its main alliance partners [named Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish] for incorporating Sharia law in every walks of life in the country. It is rather feared that, the ruling party and its alliance partners are actually heading towards implementing such agenda. When a party in power fails in addressing each of the important issues of the country or the nations, it starts creating or welcoming unnecessary issues and finally all of them simply back-fires and becomes the reason of their fatal fall. When a government or ruling party puts head into the room of autocracy or fascism, citizen of the country becomes their first target, as it happened with 6 million Jews in Germany and many more in the world, under various dictatorial and fascist rules. Awami League government has lately instructed all the immigration points in Bangladesh to stop "journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury from leaving the country, as he is engaged in tarnishing the image of Bangladesh by unnecessarily raising Islamic militant issue". The government also thinks that, "criticizing madrassas and Tablighi jamaat for any terror connection or advocating relations with Israel should be considered as anti-state activities."
