Forgery case lodged against frauds of PFI

Cheated students of fake institution named, Pearl Fashion Institute [PFI] has lodged a criminal case against the foreign and local crime rackets in this fraudulant institution.

Criminal revision case no. 630/11 and 631/11 was lodged under section 420/406/506 and 109 of Bangladesh Penal Court with the Court of Metropolitan Magistrate against Garima Shivastata, Dhawani, Sanjida, Belal, Masum Ahmed, Sanjoy Sarker, Deepak Seth and AKG Nair of Pearl Fashion Institute for cheating hundreds of locals with the lure of graduation courses under Nottingham Trent University, UK.

Before filing this report, one of the teachers named Sanjida of PFI was contacted by Weekly Blitz, who instead of giving any response or clarification on the issue, entered into altercation with the Blitz correspondent. It is learnt from several sources that, Sanjida, a resident of Nakhalpara, maintains close links with local crime networks. Her husband also reported is working for local crime network as well as illegal money trafficking network in Thailand.

It may be mentioned here that, Pearl Fashion Institute has been illegally running campus in Dhaka's Baridhara diplomatic area without prior permission from the University Grant Commission [UGC] or any other entities of Bangladesh government. According to initial assessment, PFI has swindled a few million Taka from Bangladeshi students by giving them the false hope of graduation courses as well as transferring credits to Nottingham Trent University.

PFI campus in United Arab Emirates earlier was shut down due to similar type of and for cheating thousands of locals. Warrants of arrests are pending against a number of officials and members of PFI in UAE. Another branch of this fake institution was shut down in Ahmedabad, India recently.

When contacted, one of the teachers and accused in the case, Sanjida said, "Why you are calling us. You have no right to do that. We don't give damn to Bangladeshi media".

She also said, PFI will be spending millions in buying Bangladeshi laws.

It is learnt from several sources that, PFI has successfully managed the officer-in-charge of Gulshan police station in Dhaka as well as a sub inspector named Sohel, who reported has received significant amount of money in salvaging PFI from legal consequences as well as for bringing numerous charges against the cheated students of PFi. Sub inspector Sohel reportedly had received Taka 200,000 from PFI for salvaging this fake institution.

While talking to Weekly Blitz, Bangladeshi education minister Nururl Islam Nahid said, "We are going to take immediate actions against this fake institution."

He said, "Pearl Fashion Institute is a fake institution and we are going to take action against it".

It is learnt that sub inspector Sohel has received TK. 50,000 from Garima Shivastava of Pearl Fashion Institute and at the suggestion of SI Sohel, Pearl Fashion Institute has filed a false general diary against the cheated students of this institution. It is further learnt that, SI Sohel has promised to PFI's Indian and local frauds of putting the cheated students of PFI into harrassment by incorporating their names in arms or murder case, if they will ever raise voice against PFI.

Sub inspector Sohel was posted at the diplomatic zone recently as reward of being a member of the student front of the ruling Bangladesh Awami League. SI Sohel has been involved in series of crimes in the past, most of which went un-addressed or un-punished due to Sohel's political connections.
