Ozone Layer depletion is considered as a settled environmental problem because of increased adherence to the Montreal Protocol and seasonal balance of depletion and repair observed from measurements. The Ozone Layer we know is vital to life and measurements from studies show of the depth of depletion and recovery at different places and times every year. For the action of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS), the ozone layer is not expected to fully recover until the middle of this century. Aside ODSs already in check with projections, Global Warming and polar vortex also set the way for recurrent depletion of the ozone layer in the Polar Regions particularly Antarctica and Arctic because of a 'cold' stratosphere. The Ozone Layer prevents harmful Ultra Violet (UV) radiations from reaching the earth; these radiations are capable of causing skin cancer and cataract in man, and severe damages to plants. Ozone Hole, used for depleted parts of the ozone layer measured to a certain extent allows harmful UV rays to the earth surface below it. The ozone hole is further studied for effects on other environmental issues; guesses encircle some but time and future deviations are required for affirmation. With known effects of the ozone layer and others yet to be determined, the ozone hole is not good in any way for planet earth. Natural recovery is the option available for now for complete repair of depleted parts of the ozone layer which should come in 40 - 50years according to predictions. About that time, ODSs harming useful molecules should fizzle out and lost ozone molecules will be replenished from reactions. With hopes that the ozone hole and its effects stay within bearable conditions, we can await natural recovery; but if effects tilts to unbearable end, talk of artificial recovery or Geo-engineering can increase. The altitude and conditions of the ozone Layer makes it a complex process in the case of any artificial repair. Ozone can be thought to be injected at the ozone layer; this is not chemically feasible because of the nature of ozone gas and transportation in large quantities to that height. Oxygen, a key player in reactions for protection can be injected after being carried from planet earth as liquid and discharged as gas. It should join in reactions immediately since it will be discharged under high pressures. An airship or aircraft can be used to convey oxygen to that height, either of these should do in short time hovering around low stratospheric altitude. Better built airships can, battery powered unmanned aerial vehicles can also; both have the potential but one with most advantage will be used. 'Artificial Recovery of Depleted Parts of The Ozone Layer' is a research paper that contains technical details of this procedure and has been approved for presentation at the 34th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) to be held in Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State Nigeria from 11th to 15th October 2011. Peer review of the paper after presentation should follow where conversation will touch possibilities, efficiency and necessity. Repairing the ozone layer artificially may not be needed this decade or next, but this research requires rigorous scientific and technical review through this decade to make it available for use from next decade if/when needed.
