I can't be hostile to anyone

During the last couple of months, I have been receiving number of e-mails from a section of the readers saying – "you are an Israeli agent, go to hell". Some readers suggested me to follow the 'right path' to have 'salvation'. These mails could neither confuse nor convince me anyway. Rather I am sympathized to those poor mailers who have same views on the non-Muslims, especially Jews and Israel. I would like to explain why I couldn't join the devil's dance occurring for hundreds of years.

Both, the exaggerated nationalism and religiousness, in the modern era, are against the sense of humanity. With the pace of science and technology, while the enlightened world moving fast toward kindness regardless of religious or national identities. We are into an age when individual has source to justify any object in the light of human rights and when morality, ideology is well defined. But unfortunately there are huge numbers of Muslims who want to stick with medieval ideas to justify the unjustifiable. We have lot of instances to say. In the year 1923, Northern area of Bengal suffered a massive flood, which caused millions of people homeless and hungry. Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy, a well known educationist, founded Bengal Relief Committee, where the Muslim communities, Muslim business classes contributed or donated nothing. But later, when Anatolia of Turkey was struck by a massive earthquake, in a single meeting at Mohammed Ali Park in Kolkata, 300 thousand Takas (can be evaluate minimum 1000 times at present day) was collected by the Muslims for sending to their 'Muslim brethren' in Turkey. At that time Turkey was the leader and epicenter of the Muslim sentiment. Should I be such a Muslim not to see the fellow citizen dying at my doorstep, while I am sending money to thousands of miles away only because they are Muslims? This can be exaggerated religiousness. I would not buy this idea. Sorry!

Throughout the history, Muslims and Christians competitively massacred Jewish communities even without any reason. Innocent children - men and women faced systematic killings where the killers took the charges as "holy assignment". No other people of any other religious faiths were subject of killing and persecution, except the Jews. We know, through the history, the Jews were subject to be looted and massacred. During the time of Prophet of Islam, there were three considerable Jewish tribes in Medina, such as Banu Qaynuka, Banu Nadir and Banu Qurayza, with whom the Prophet had good relations during the time of sprouting of Islam. But after the battle of Badr, when Islam became an absolute power, the Jews were persecuted and accused of different lame excuses only to grab their wealth. In course of time, Jewish population was annihilated from the Arab lands, where Jews had been living for thousands of years. Another agony for the Jews, especially in Europe, was blood libel. There are thousands of tragic stories of falls accusation against the Jews, who were frequently, brutally killed by the societies and states.

What we have seen in the Second World War? About six million followers of Prophet Mosses were gaspingly murdered by the notorious Nazis in Germany without any reason but just to fulfill the nasty desire of an insane dictator like Adolph Hitler.

How to ignore the Yadvashem? We, the modern grown men are fed up of orthodoxy. Do the Jews not have right to protect themselves? Does the rest of the world especially Muslim world want to see the Jewish communities erased from the earth; their children and women are being slaughtered and tortured? Now, the difference between Muslims and Christian is, the Christians has already given up this kind of demoded attitude towards Jews - but the Muslims are not! Should we follow the paths of barbarian Arabs who are still beheading people for even trivial offences? No! Is there any way to ignore the Jewish population of the world who contributed hundred times greater than the Muslims or others in civilizing us? There are less than 15 million Jews living in the world, whereas there are more than 1500 millions Muslims. In last hundred years, more than 172 Jewish born personalities got Nobel Prizes for their contributions to mankind, where less than five Muslims got the prestigious prize for any such contributions. If you tell this to a Muslim, then he will say, 'Oh, the Jews are heading all such prize committees!'

In reality, there is not even a single thing, from thread to spaceship, which was invented, innovated or discovered by any Muslim. Whom should I appraise? Today, there is no chance to stick with by born obsession. People need to open their eyes not to try to kill a doctor, a scientist, an economist and at least a human being.

I can assure the mailers, at home and abroad, that I am not a recipient by writing the truths. In contrary, truth makes me defective at interval. I have naturally got eyes to see the white is white and black is black. I believe - any kind of obsession is a part of blindness.

Again: there is a tiny community of Ahmadiyas, the followers of Mirza Gulam Ahmed, living in Bangladesh amongst the huge stronghold of Sunni Muslims. During the last tenure of Begum Khaleda Zia, (2001-2006), I lived couple of months in the area of Nakhalpada in the capital Dhaka, Bangladesh. One day, suddenly I saw more or less five thousands Sunni Muslims after Friday's jumma prayers attacking a masque which belongs to the Ahmediyyans. I was shocked and horrified by the scenario. On that day I thought - is religion a personal believes, or it is a collective force to swallow the others choice? During the same period, religious publications of the Ahmadiyas were banned, without any reason, and such ban has never been lifted by any of the subsequent governments. Open persecution of Ahmadiyas though came to a pause in recent years; this community still lives in extreme horror and fear of fresh persecution. Some of the clergies till date are demanding declaring the Ahmadiyas as infidels.
