"Kim Jong Il lived for the welfare of his country and his people" says Bangladeshi FM

Bangladeshi foreign minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP paid homage to Comrade Kim Jong Il and visited the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Bangladesh on December 27, 2011 morning. The Bangladeshi foreign minister, who also is an important member of the ruling party placed flower bouquet in front of the portrait of Comrade Kim Jong Il and stood there in silence for some time.

The Bangladeshi foreign minister Dr. Dipu Moni wrote in the condolence book:

"We are saddened at the sudden demise of Comrade Kim Jong Il, Great Leader of DPR Korea. Comrade Kim Jong Il lived for the welfare of his country and his people and he also died for the cause of people. May his memory remain ever fresh."

After paying homage, the Bangladeshi foreign minister, during her conversation with DPR Korean ambassador in Dhaka expressed deep condolence over demise of H.E. Kim Jong Il, great leader of DPR Korea and wished Korean people greater progress and happiness under the new leadership of H.E. Kim Jong Un.

The Bangladeshi foreign minister hoped friendship of the two countries be further strengthened under the new leadership of Kim Jong Un.

It may be mentioned here that, Dr. Dipu Moni is considered to be one of the most influential ministers in the current government in Bangladesh, who has been playing important role in strengthening relations between Bangladesh and countries in the world.

A large number of people ranging from ministers, members of parliament, senior officials of the government, newspaper editors, journalists, politicians, cultural activists, artistes, businessmen and social elites visited the Embassy of the DPR Korea in Bangladesh to pay homage to Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il.

Very cordial and friendly relations exist between Bangladesh and DPR Korea for decades. Pyongyang has been a tested friend and partner for Dhaka and in recent past DPR Korea has successfully implemented a large granite mining project in Bangladesh. Experts feel Bangladesh can greatly benefit from DPR Korea in its future mining projects as it has vast experience in mining at home and abroad. Several countries in the world are greatly benefiting by availing technical assistance of DPR Korea into various mining projects.
