Briton accused of marriage forgery and fraud

A Bangladeshi born British citizen has been accused of multiple marriage and massive fraud by one of her husbands. According to allegation, Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja already married 13 men in her twenty years of age!

Recently 13^th husband of Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja, Khalilur Rahman Rony has lodged a fraud case against her giving description of the series of forgery, fraud, deception and multiple marriages by this female, thus stealing large sum of money from the locals.

Rony said, on March 25, 2011, he married Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja at a marriage registrar's office at Kutubpur Union Council under Fotulla area in Bangladesh. In the marriage registration form, the expatriate British national Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja mentioned her name as Afroja Akhter Asha and stated her father's name as Tofazzal Hossain. She declared herself to be "never married before" in the form. The marriage was registered against Tk. 1 million dowry, to be paid by the husband to Afroja Akhter Asha.

Rony further said, the same Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja married Khorshed Alam [son of Abdul Jabbar Mia] on November 22, 1991 giving her name as Afroza Sultana Baby. She declared her age as 18. In this marriage document, Afroja's father's name was Abdul Karim Khan [address 17/18 Akshay Das Lane, Sutrapur, Dhaka]. On April 19, 1994, she married Abdul Maleq [son of Ashok Ali], where she mentioned her age as 19 and father's name as Tofazzal Hossain [address: 70 Shatish Sarker Road, Sutrapur, Dhaka]. In this marriage document, she mentioned her name as Afroja Sultana Baby.

On March 30, 2001, the same woman girl married Mahbubul Alam [father's name: Amin Uddin], where she gave her name as Afroja Akhter Asha [age 19] and stated her father's name as Abdul Karim [address: 3/1 Dinanath Sen Road, Sutrapur, Dhaka]. In the same year, she married a Hindu Youngman named Swapan Ghosh, where she stated her name as Supriya Ghosh.

In 1992 she married a person named Amir Hossain and in subsequent years, married a number of persons named Ashiq, Anwar Hossain, Topon Khan and Enamul Hossain. According to information provided by her 13^th husband, Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja so far married 13 men giving several false named and visibly stole huge amount of money from each of them by promising of taking them to United Kingdom as her husband.

Khalilur Rahman Rony met Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja on popular social networking site Facebook. When their relations got deepened, Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja came to India from England and crossed the India-Bangladesh border illegally thus entered Bangladesh and married Khalilur Rahman Rony on March 25, 2011. Subsequently she demanded Tk. 1.4 million as cost for processing the immigration documents of her newly married husband, and she was paid this amount in several installments. After receiving the payment, Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja started ignoring Rony and later the 13^th husband came to know about her multiple marriages before she became his wife. At this stage, Khalilur Rahman Rony lodged criminal case against Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja with Chief Judicial Magistrate of Narayanganj district on November 11, 2011 [C.R. Case number 257/11]. On December 19, 2011 another case was filed with Fotulla Model Police Station [case number 56] agains Asha aka Supriya Ghosh aka Afroja.
