by Felipe Matto http://www.weeklyblitz.net/2065/money-a-dirty-thing
Just as we handle money, in the way we run money, it is the same as we deal and run our very lives. It speaks a lot about us... When we hate coins, when we put paper money in our purse, or keep our bills as a wrinkled mess into our pockets. I keep it pretty tidy in my purse "My habit is to put my bills in my wallet, I don't like that my notes folded, even half folded bills. There is no mix between coins and bills, this is my bad habit. So I am completely aware of the whole amount of money I carry with me". Interpretation: Pretty tidy persons keep their wallets pretty tidy! They love control, not only control over money but also over all the other life areas (job, personal relationships, household). Control over Money means security, welfare. This is people who run away from Destiny surprises and who rely on routine. "I reject coins" "I never keep the coins change whenever I pay a taxi or in a restaurant, so I give a greater tip than expected, because of the coins that I will not keep with me. I think about the previous individuals who touched those coins and I feel uncomfortable". Interpretation: This attitude to money reveals an obsession about hygiene is typical in persons who over value their personal appearance and daily cleanliness. These obsessions are signals of repressed feelings: hidden fears which are kept under control, while these individuals do not touch coins, or continually wash their hands. There is a certain image about money: perhaps it may be dirty as we are not sure, where is it coming from, its source is not clearly known as we desire. "I always go out carrying a lot of money with me" "I spread my money in everyplace of myself: big amount bills in my back pocket, in case I am robbed; great bills in my underwear. Just in case, within my socks". Interpretation: These are cautious persons who seek security and certain economical independency. In several areas in their lives, they are cautious, too. Keys with their respective copy, insurance for their goods, and a safe deposit box. These persons are not seeking prestige, but security. "I enjoy to feel the contact of the bills" "I carry a lot of cash with me, and I put a bandage around it or a clip. I feel certain that it will not be lost". Interpretation: Perhaps in this case, touching money is like touching Daddy's love. It is like caressing an amulet, or like a child with his favourite toy. It also indicates the level of power given by money to human beings. A path from childhood to adult age. He feels proud of his self made achievements… and he doesn't want to be robbed! "I keep it anyway" "I never know how much cash I carry with me, my habit is to put it in my pocket without any kind of disposition. My problem is that I spend hours looking for it when I need it!" Interpretation: For these kinds of people, money is not a big deal. They owe money but this is not what make them happy. It does not mean disorganization but a priority given to other things, such as friendship, kindness, family. They are capable to waste money without regret and also, do not waste and live happily either. "I always keep it in my inner pocket" "I always go out wearing a coat, going to work or not: so I keep money in my inner pocket: it is a safe and hidden place. It is under my control". Interpretation: It means, to put cash ahead, always under control. Many men live suffering a constant fear of losing their money. It represents security, a painkiller for anxious people. Cash is ahead… cash, protects them. As the inner pocket is placed near the heart, it means a "highly valuable good". "I fold the bills with extreme care" "My habit is to fold the bills trying to make coincidence among all the bill corners. I consider that money is a serious matter and it needs to be safe". Interpretation: It is the typical attitude of the collector, who collects his own money. But the feeling of touching goes beyond touch sense: it means for him like a magic icon which lets him dream with all the things he could do with money… but still it stays there, folded, secure. To fold it is to make a caress, a touch. "It is always at the back pocket" "It is very easy for me to carry my money at the back pocket, as a quick gesture. It doesn't bother me when I am sitting down, it is very practical". Interpretation: To keep Money at the back pocket is considered, in Latin cultures, as a male gesture and speaks about a generous person. Like a way of sense of Macho affirmation. Apart from that, feeling its presence just there, at the back pocket, implies an emotional and sensual pleasure, it means power and independence. "I only use my credit card" "It is very rare for him to carry cash: only he uses credit card. Speaking in Psychology terms: it hurts less, "I have the feeling that I am not casting my money". Interpretation: Credit card has a magic meaning for these persons. They are not aware that he is spending money, it may be a childish and mean attitude. Surely these are shy persons who do not enjoy shopping. It is easy for them, as they do not carry cash; allow others to pay his expenses. He does not love to waste money.
