A battle has started now between two young singers of the new generation; when Tishma Liliana [Tishma] issued a statement on Thursday, January 9, 2012 against another popular singer Mila Islam [Tasbiha] bringing a series of allegations against her for attempting to sabotage the music career of Tishma. Weekly Blitz immediately tried to get comment from singer Mila on these accusations and even tried to connect her via her own website at: www.milaislam.com. But the website was shown non active. In a written statement, Tishma, whose debut album was released in 2002 made a number of allegations against Mila Islam. She said, Mila Islam exerted her undue influence over the program officials at Bangla Vision [a private television channel] and excluded her from a 'Eid Show', though the channel already run their promotional showing Tishma as one of the performers. Tishma said, in 2007, during Indian Idol concert, Mila Islam tried to manipulate the sound engineer and crews of RTV [a private television channel] to disrupt Tishma's performance. She said, Mila Islam unplugged the musical instruments during Tishma's performace at Nakhalpara School in 2008. At that time, such rowdy behavior of Mila Islam was strongly objected by the audience and the members of Bangladeshi media. Tishma also alleged that whenever she goes to any music director for working on her album or song, Mila Islam surely contacts the same music director and tries to influence in aborting Tishma's project. She also accused Mila and "her team" of spreading "rumors through internet", though Tishma could not specify any such activities of Mila Islam. The most serious part of the entire statement is, singer Tishma alleged Mila Islam of giving threats on her. We wanted to know from Tishma, if she ever lodged any written complaint with police on this issue, but her cell phone was left un-responded. It may be mentioned here that, Tishma was dropped at the last moment from performing at the opening ceremony of Bangladesh Premier League [BPL]. Following such incident, Tishma, for the first time, came up with an aggressive attitude of throwing black-balls on Mila Islam. In her statement, Tishma said, the organizers of the Bangladesh Premier League signed contract, but at the persuasion and pressures from Mila Islam, the organizers finally dropped Tishma from the event. Tishma was not only shocked at such decision of the organizers of the event, but for the first time, took this as an attempt of tarnishing her image as a singer. Refusing the allegations of Tishma, the organizers of BPL told Weekly Blitz that, they dropped her name from the opening ceremony, when they already got schedule from Mila Islam. "Mila's popularity and acceptability is much more than that of Tishma", the organizers said. It may be mentioned here that, Mila Islam became a household name in Bangladesh following the huge success of her album, where her song "Roopbaney Nachey Komor Dulaiya" became one of the biggest hits of Bangla music industry. Music critics say, though the major credit of this huge success should go to Fuad Al Muqtadir, who composed the album for Mila, lately the song spread throughout the country as well as in a number of nations, not only because of the excellent composition, but also because of Mila's brilliance in stage performance. For most of the show organizers in Bangladesh, Mila's name always come at the top of the list, when the singer is also expected to rock the audience with her ever seductive choreography while performing the song. Music insiders in Bangladesh, commenting on Mila Islam say, "She knows how to give best entertainment to her audience. Moreover, she always wins the hearts of her fans and listeners through her excellent choreography and the very original smile." They said, "In any case, Tishma is not any competitor of Mila, as till date, Tishma has not been able to show any magic with big hit song in this country, as Mila. At the same time, Tishma is visibly lost from the music industry for years and has already gone into visible isolation. Recently Tishma experimented by launching her recent album on the internet, through her website. But, this launching visibly bogged down into the Bay of Bengal and no one ever paid any interest in logging into her website and listening to the songs. At the same time, Tishma's website is not yet known to most of the music lovers in Bangladesh. She [Tishma] also realized this at a later stage and some how managed to get her album released through a recently launched company of lyricist Shafiq Tuhin, which has just one more album in its catalogue. By getting her album released from Shafiq Tuhin's company, Tishma actually exhibited her bankruptcy as a singer, and it clearly showed that, none of the mainstream music companies were showing minimum interest in this album." Some of the music industry insiders accused Tishma of showing audacious tendency and she is infamous in the music circle in Bangladesh for not responding to most of the calls in her cell phone. Another source told Weekly Blitz that, Mila Islam is feeling envy of Tishma, as she is having "much better quality as a singer than Mila". "Tishma is a very down-to-earth individual and she is not having any bad name in the industry, while there are series of allegations and scandals against Mila Islam, starting from being addicted to drugs [Yaba] as well as her illicit and anti-social activities, both at home and abroad. She greatly compromised while managing two albums from Fuad Al Muqtadir by pretending to be his girlfriend. But at a stage, when Muqtadir realized Mila's fake romance, he aborted her from his mind. Being trashed by Fuad Al Muqtadir, Mila Islam tried to keep her career alive by affiliating with another music director and singer named S I Tutul. At one stage, she also established "warm relations" with Tutul, until the matter ended up in a mere mess when Tutul's family members confronted such extra-marital affairs. Finding herself to be visibly alone, Mila Islam tried to emerge as a music director and even created her own album, which is not only a flopped venture, but also has turned into the biggest joke of the music industry." Weekly Blitz will try to contact both Tishma and Mila Islam and will publish a follow up story with their comments on this matter.
