Muslim girl abducted, forced to convertion in Bangladesh

At Bangladesh's southern district of Narail, Manira Khatun [a teenage Muslim school student] was abducted and forced to convert into Hinduism by Shishir Ghosh [a Hindu terrorist]. Dhaka's leading vernacular daily Manabzamin published a front page lead news on October 3, 2009 giving detailed description of this barbaric incident.

According to report, Manira Khatun, daughter of Aslam Sarder, a local leader of the ruling party was forcefully abducted by a group of thugs led by Shishir Ghosh on September 24, 2009.

Shishir Ghost is also a member of the ruling party. He has been continuing various forms of terrorist activities including extortion for years under the shelter of a local Awami League leader named Khaledur Rahman Tito.

Shishir Ghosh, Pradeep Ghosh, Mintu, Bappi and others abducted Manira Khatun at gun point and forcefully took her to a house situated at Shasthitola area in the town. Shishir Ghosh arranged marrige with Manira Khantun with the help of 5-6 of his hang members [all Hindus] and continued the convertion rituals. Manira Khatun cried and protested to this convertion but, the Hindu boys did not listen to her plea. Later, Shishir Ghosh declared that Manira Khatun was already converted to Hinduism and took her inside a room and raped her in the name of conjumation.

She was later moved to other places in a micro-bus [van] and continued to be group raped by this local Hindu terrorists. On September 30, 2009 local police rescued Manira Khatun in a critical condition from Jessore district. Shishir Ghosh was also arrested by the members of law enforcing agencies, while other members of his gang fled. A case has been lodged with the local police station under Women and Children Repression Act [Case Number 88/09].

Fearing attack of Shishir Ghosh and his gang members, Manira Khatun and her father are staying in hidding since police rescued the Muslim girl from the captivity of the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, after the arrest of Shishir Ghost, son of local Awami League MP went to the police station and tried to get him released by using influence of the ruling party. But members of newsmedia in the locality played important role and convinced police in not listening to the illegal instructions of the son of the member of parliament.

According to various information, several Hindus are active in the West-Southern part of Bangladesh, especially Jessore, Narail and Jhenidaha districts and are continuing various forms of atrocities on the locals for decades. Notorious terror kingpin Bikash Kumar and his younger brother prakash Kumar are also from country's Jhenidaha district.

Bikash and his brother established reign of terror in the capital city for decades thus continuing various forms of crime till he was arrested by the members of Detective Branch. Bikash faces series of cases, which include murder, rape, extortion, property grabbing etc.

None of the local human rights groups or activities even uttered a single word in prorest to the recent notoriety of Shishir Ghosh and his gang.
