Shahriar joins as editor of Daily Sun

Eminent Bangladeshi journalist and Correspondent of Newsweek, Hassan Shahriar has recently joined as the editor of English language newspaper The Daily Sun.

Country's largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, on its successful launching of vernacular daily named Kaler Kantho with celebrated journalist Abed Khan as its editor has taken the second project of publishing an English daily newspaper with very international standard.

East West Media Group, an affilaite of Bashundhara Group in a press release said, their English language daily newspaper will be published soon.

Prior to joining Daily Sun as its editor, Hassan Shahriar worked with leading vernacular daily Ittefaq as well Advisory Editor of The People's Daily. He also writes on regional and international issues in local and international press. He was the President of Bangladesh Press Club, Commonwealth Journalist's Association and Overseas Correspondent's Association.

Hassan Shahriar enjoys high repute in Bangladesh and abroad for high neutral and un-biased analytical writings on variouys regional, international and local issues.
