Award winning actor and singer Jennifer Lopez has parted with her record company 'Epic' as her album "Louboutins" did not make it to the Top Ten in the United States, even after she performed one of the tracks at the American Music Awards. Epic, which is a branch of Sony Records, may not be able to release Jennifer's next album named 'Love', which was scheduled to be launched on April 7, 2010. And Lopez — who has largely put her career on hold to raise twins Max and Emme, born in Feb. 2008 — is struggling to accept her star is waning. Jennifer Lopez told reporters that she had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. "I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we've had great success. I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label," Lopez said. A Sony spokeswoman also told the Wall Street Journal that they are still on "extremely amicable terms" with Lopez. Meanwhile, celebrity gossip site 'Mr. Paparazzi' said, "Having spent years away from the musical spotlight, Jennifer Lopez expected her comeback single Louboutins to be a massive success. Sadly it was actually a big flop [mainly because it was crap], and consequently her record label, Sony Music Epic Records, decided to drop her." It said, "And now that the release date for her latest film The Back Up Plan has been pushed back by several weeks [mainly because it looks crap], Jennifer – who we spotted going out for dinner with her husband Marc Anthony in Florida last night – has fallen into a deep depression." According to friends of the actress, JLo is having a hard time accepting the fact that the public just don't love her that much anymore. A source said: "Jennifer is really depressed over the state of her career. She's gone from being one of the world's biggest stars to being dropped by her record label. It's been a bitter pill to swallow." Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez announced she has inked a new deal. Her upcoming album, "Love?", which was slated for an April release, is rescheduled to come out this summer. There's no word on which label the singer has signed with. Rumors have it that she's in talks with Island Def Jam. Jennifer Lopez's shockingly sheer plunging chiffon Grammy gown (by Versace) put her on the fashion map in 2000 and made international headlines. That was the pivotal moment when she learned the importance of "Shock and Awe" style. Lately, she's fallen back on her attention-getting antics. Jennifer seems to have developed an addiction to skin-tight catsuits and bizarre bubble skirts, neither of which are very flattering to her figure. She made the Times Square ball [and quite a few jaws] drop with a sparkly nude catsuit on New Year's Eve. Then she slithered onstage in a black leather Bond-babe catsuit at an Italian music fest. And let's not even bring up that metallic bubble dress at the AMAs.
