Brothel of 'Holy man' in India

A self proclaimed 'holy man' named Shiv Myra Dwivedi [39] in India was reported running a brothel in Indian capital wherefrom he was supplying up to 200 prostitutes every day to luxury hotels in the city, mostly to clients from overseas. Media predicts that Shiv Myra Dwivedi earned $10 million [£6.5 million] from the racket, but local media reports said his earning could have reached more than ten times that figure. Shiv Myra Dwivedi alias Ram Murat Dwivedi alias Rajiv Ranjan Dwivedi called himself Ichchadhari Sant Swami Bhimanand Ji Maharaj 'Chitrakoot waale' and claimed to be a disciple of Sai Baba.

Police said Mr. Dwivedi, who boasts a religious following of more than 100,000, was arrested with another alleged pimp and seven prostitutes, including one British Airways and another Indian airlines flight attendant. According to sources, two of them are air-hostesses, one an Masters of Business Administration student and the fourth an aspiring Bollywood actress. The girls are aged between 22 and 25 years. The accused supplied sex workers in Delhi. This included clients who flew down to Delhi and stayed in five star hotels.

Shiv Murti Dwivedi, the self-styled god-man arrested by Delhi Police, had spread the tentacles of his high-profile sex racket in at least 6 areas in the capital city. Teams of Delhi Police have swooped down on Kanpur and Chitrakoot to probe Dwivedi's local contacts. Initial investigations have startled the top brass of UP Police, as it emerges that many top politicians, including some from the ruling BSP, and bureaucrats have links with the impostor holy-man. According to the police, the accused was in possession of at least five diaries containing names of hundreds of girls from across the country. "He used the internet to trap girls who were staying away from their families. His targets had one common trait a hunger to earn quick money," said an officer.

Sleuths said that they have found five addresses from where his racket flourished in the Capital, besides the temple at Khanpur. These included posh colonies like CR Park, Sector 3 RK Puram, Bhikaji Cama Place [Mohammadpur], Safdarjung Enclave [Humayunpur] and Devli [Jawahar Park]. "The accused often used a place in Shimla as his summer getaway. We are investigating some other properties at Pune, Varanasi, Lucknow and Bangalore to find out if these belonged to Dwivedi," the investigating officer added.

Meanwhile, UP police officials said that three-storeyed Chitrakoot temple could be using National Rural Employment Guarantee Act [NREGA] funds in the name of holy-man. "The fact that armed men with country-made rifles are patrolling the spot has made his link with Dadua clearer. Several politicians, along with 50,000 devotees and professional dancers from Mumbai had come to Chitrakoot for seven days at a Yagna for the temple," claimed a police sources.

A large number of sex rackets in the world are dealing in supplying air hostesses to their clients, which are on increasing demand.

Lola, [22] a air hostess from Uzbekistan is a tall girl with high, thin eyebrows on a slender face. Her features are sharp but her eyes are uninterested, fixed at a painting on the wall of the coffee shop, as she tries hard to explain, in broken English, why she is in India. Clad in a too-tight pink sweatshirt, faded cream shorts and shiny red boots, her right hand bearing a cocktail ring which she keeps twisting nervously, her blue nail varnish chipped, she seems a far cry from her alluring nocturnal avatar as one of the Capital's high-priced prostitutes. She speaks of how she came to work here two-and-a-half months ago. Her boyfriend TC, not Tom Cruise, she clarifies, momentarily showing signs of life, joined her last month. Both are clear about what they want from their lives--enough money to buy a house in Tashkent, their hometown in Uzbekistan. Her boy friend brought her into prostitution as she was poorly paid by her employer. Lola is not alone. She is part of a growing army of fair-skinned prostitutes, who served as air hostesses earlier, about 30 of them in Indian capital alone and about the same number in the other parts of the country. They are from Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Chechnya and Kyrgyzstan, all of which are part of the Commonwealth of Independent States [CIS].

The so-called 'aunties', CIS women who have been illegally living in India for several years, act as the interface between the women and local pimps. The aunties are local agents of a mafia back home and share up to 50 per cent of the profits.

It is also reported that, a large number of air hostesses from domestic and international airlines are also connected to Indian sex racket. As the clients are ready to pay higher amount for the 'company' of an air hostess, many find this as a mere 'part-time job'.
