Extremely popular male actor Ferdous, who enjoys almost unbeatable popularity simultaneously in Bangladesh and India has finally signed with Vibgyor Films to play the main role in their movie Leelakhela. Leelakhela is an anti Jihadist movie based on the story written by Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury. Ferdous, who received several national and international awards for his performances, is seeing high hope with the story of Leelakhela. He listened to the songs of the film at Bangladesh-China Friendship Hall in Dhaka on Thursday [April 8, 2010] evening in presence of hundreds of people. Commenting on the songs of the film, Ferdous said, "Excellent! Amazing!" Meanwhile, management of Vibgyor Films in a latest press statement said, though they signed with Bangladeshi actress Shimla to play the role with Ferdous, they [the production company] is becoming seriously concerned on finally continuing with Shimla, as a number of local newspapers and blogs have recently published news and articles on her, stating that, she has got addicted to Yaba [a kind of drug spreading in Asian countries]. "We cannot afford to work with drug addicts", said the company's management. It is also alleged that, since signing the contract, Shimla is mostly keeping her cell phone switched off or unanswered, while she mostly is working in cheap music videos, made by under-ground audio-video production companies, with objectionable scenes. "If any actress will become so cheap by appearing in filthy music videos, how a film production company can take the risk of investing millions on her", said Vibgyor Films source.
