Be a part of anti-Jihadist effort – please!

Since 2003, when we first started the only anti-Jihadist and pro-Israel newspaper in the Muslim world, we really were facing series of adversities from the critics, enemies of peace, anti-Semitists, palls of Jihadists, clergies etc etc etc.

A leading English language newspaper in Bangladesh, which claims to be secularist, launched a 'Forum' to oppose Weekly Blitz and its entire editorial team. This newspaper even started a virtual 'Jihad' against our newspaper by publishing instigative articles and news against me and Weekly Blitz. Bengali [Vernacular] language sister-publication of this English newspaper continued to write against me and my work, under the active instigation of its editor, who spent significant time of his life in a newspaper owned by Communist Party of Bangladesh. This veteran Communist editor is for obvious reason, anti-West as well pro-Jihadist. It was even rumoured that, a notorious separatist group in India placed millions of dollars in establishing this English and Bengali language newspapers, which by now are no better than media-mafias in Bangladesh.

When I was arrested on November 29, 2003 on my way to Israel for attending a Peace Conference, which was jointly organized by the Israeli and US governments, the mentioned English and Bengali dailies started carrying imaginary stories against me, labelling me a 'Mossad Agent' 'Zionist Spy' etc and both the newspapers advocated punishing me for hurting 'Muslim sentiment by attempting to travel to Israel'. It is well known to all that, both the editors of the above mentioned English and Bengali daily newspapers were virtual lapdogs of the BNP-Islamist Coalition government.

On April 2005, when I was released on bail, the Bengali language daily newspaper of the mentioned Media-Mafia racket published news item criticizing the court for releasing an 'Israeli spy' and 'enemy of Islam'. After my release, when I initiated re-commencing the publication of Weekly Blitz newspaper, the editors of the mentioned English and Bengali dailies tried their best in stopping me from getting government approval in republishing the Weekly Blitz newspaper. But, all of their nasty and evil attempts got smashed. Weekly Blitz started its journey by virtually giving big kick on the faces of both the anti-US and anti-Semitic editors of that Bangladeshi daily newspaper.

With the ongoing popularity of online editions of newspaper, even recently Christian Science Monitor stopped its print edition. I know many of the huge newspapers in the world are also gradually switching to online edition from print edition. But, Weekly Blitz still continues both print and online edition.

But, in a country like Bangladesh, possibly anti-Jihadist message can not only be well covered through print or electronic media. Rather the use of mass media such as cinema, drama and short films will help anti-Jihadist message spreading the entire society much faster and people would also accept such messages much easily and comfortably.

No doubt, Weekly Blitz is playing vital role in publishing news and commentaries against Jihad and militant Islam in the Muslim world, against those pro-Jihadist publications having millions of dollars patronization and funding from unknown Afro-Arab sources. Due to our anti Islamist editorial policy, none of the local business houses ever placed any advertisement either on our print or online edition, though Weekly Blitz has already grown as a major news media in the Muslim world, with millions of readers in the West and the world. Editorial policy of Weekly Blitz has already placed it in the position of a prestigious and trustworthy news source of the Muslim world. Our editorials and investigative reports and commentaries against Jihad and Jihadism is already considered as solid source of information by local and international audience.

As we never received any advertisements from local entrepreneurs, for obvious reason, Weekly Blitz has been suffering from acute financial crisis for years. We would not be able to sustain till date, if a number of generous individuals as well organizations like Hudson Institute, Middle East Forum etc would to extend their hands of cooperation towards Weekly Blitz. We hope, people in the world, who are willing to see Jihad and Jihadism to be completely smashed and defeated, will continue to extend all possible support to Weekly Blitz and similar anti-Jihadist publications in the world.

In 2009 end, we decided to make short films and full length feature films, with the objective of educating people against Jihad and Islamism through entertainment. We already have completed production of a telefilm named Shongshoy. This telefilm shows the bad impact of Sharia law in the Muslim society. Out next venture is a full length feature film named Leelakhela, which is based on anti-Jihadist theme. We fully understand that, anti-Jihadism and anti-Islamism should be well spread into Bangladeshi society through such ways of entertainment. We also are giving support and encouragement to Bangladeshi makers, who are willing to make films, dramas or telefilms on anti-Jihadist themes.

There are philanthropists in this world, who give millions towards various social activities. Should they also consider Weekly Blitz and other anti-Jihadist programs of this publication house, while they make next decision of such philanthropic donations? Only a couple of millions of dollars will give the total strength to Weekly Blitz and its anti-Jihadist program through entertainment, in gaining real momentum. Will you please extend your hands of cooperation towards Weekly Blitz, now?
