International airlines resuming flights to Israel

Delta Airlines will resume its New York – Tel Aviv flights on May 8, according to a report broadcast Wednesday by Israel’s Channel 13 television news.

According to Globes, British Airways is restarting flights on May 1. Air Canada restarting on June 1 from Toronto and June 24 from Montreal. United Airlines has been flying to and from Israel throughout the pandemic will be restarting its Tel Aviv-San Francisco line.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) assured the airline that Ben Gurion International Airport is safe from COVID-19. Likewise, all of the airlines aircraft will be disinfected prior to departure in order to provide maximum health standards, according to the report.

For now, only Israeli citizens will be allowed to fly back home. The returnees will be required to enter a two-week quarantine.
