JNI Media
An unusual incident took place a few minutes before Shabbat in the new Dagan neighborhood of Efrat, in Gush Etzion, when a 2-year-old girl discovered an incendiary balloon with the word “love” printed on it in Arabic, the Municipality’s Facebook page reported.
Her parents alerted security forces in the area, which conducted searches for the perpetrators.
Security forces did not issue any special instructions to the residents.
The Facebook alert concluded with a wish for a quiet and pleasant Shabbat for everybody, adding that in the event of identifying a suspicious object, including incendiary balloons and kites, children should be kept away from the area and the settlement’s security center must be alerted, at 1-700-70-5000.
The first incendiary balloon in Judea and Samaria was launched in late June, from the Arab village of Fara’ata to Havat Gilad.
Blitz input: Falestinian terrorists have been using terror balloons and terror kites in attacking various targets inside the Jewish State. In the recent days, this notorious practice has spread amongst other terrorist and Islamist militancy groups.
