Pakistani PM Imran Khan wants ‘Islamic State’ throughout the world

Celebrating Taliban ‘victory’ in Afghanistan, Pakistani PM Imran Khan said, Afghans have broken the ‘shackles of slavery’ [from US and the Western nations]. He said this as he imposed an Islamic curriculum on Pakistani schools, “despite criticism because it put emphasis on religious teaching instead of modern national sciences”. This will raise a new generation of jihadists in Pakistan.

It may be mentioned here that, Pakistan has been facilitating the Taliban rebellion which ultimately resulted in the capturing of the country after being ousted about 20 years ago.

While terror-patron Pakistan is in celebration mood because it believes Afghanistan now would come under its direct influence as its Taliban brethren are in power, Taliban commander Muhammed Arif Mustafa told CNN: “It’s our belief that one day, mujahedin will have victory, and Islamic law will come not to just Afghanistan, but all over the world. We are not in a hurry. We believe it will come one day. Jihad will not end until the last day”.

Meaning, once Taliban succeeds in rebranding Afghanistan into an ‘Islamic Emirate’, it will eventually join hands with each of the radical Islamic militancy groups including Al Qaeda and Islamic State (ISIS) with the notorious agenda of expanding the size of Islamic states. We need to remember; the Taliban does indeed want peace. It wants the peace that will follow the world’s submission to the hegemony of Islamic law. With Afghanistan being ruled by the Taliban, every peace-loving nation in the world should feel worried as the terrorist acts of the Islamist militancy groups would greatly intensify in the coming days.

Commenting on Taliban commander’s statement, counterterrorism expert Robert Spencer in a recent article wrote: Muhammed Arif Mustafa was stating plainly what the US State Department steadfastly ignored for twenty years: the fact that the Taliban views itself as the exponents in 21st-century Afghanistan of a fourteen-hundred-year-old conflict, one that is as old as Islam itself. The History of Jihad details how Muslims in Afghanistan and the world over have waged this jihad without any interruption throughout that entire period, with the goal that the Taliban commander enunciated: to establish the rule of Islamic law anywhere and everywhere possible.

This imperative was often energized by grievances, but was never, contrary to State’s assumption, built on grievances alone. The Qur’an commands: “And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah.” (8:39) Some might think that because the Taliban is ending what they perceive as “persecution” – that is, the American presence – in Afghanistan, it will lay down its arms. This is once again a fundamental misunderstanding. The Taliban, and other groups like it, will fight on “until religion is all for Allah.” Within Afghanistan, this will take the form of a ferocious and merciless persecution of women who do not obey Islam’s veiling laws, and of anyone else who dares to violate the strictures of Islam in any way. And outside Afghanistan, the Taliban will do all it can to aid jihad groups elsewhere, as it aided al-Qaeda to prepare for the jihad attacks in New York and Washington on September 11, 2001.

In another article on Afghan issue, Robert Spencer wrote: As US-backed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country and Taliban leaders posed for pictures inside the presidential palace in Kabul, Old Joe Biden’s handlers published a photo of their own. The White House Twitter account posted a photo of Old Joe sitting alone at a massive conference table at Camp David, with the caption: “This morning, the President and Vice President met with their national security team and senior officials to hear updates on the draw down of our civilian personnel in Afghanistan, evacuations of SIV applicants and other Afghan allies, and the ongoing security situation in Kabul.”

Joe was posed looking pensively at a huge screen on the wall, where various participants in a Zoom meeting could be seen: the vice president as promised, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, various officials of the CIA, the DNI, and other agencies, plus — significantly — “Doha Station.” Biden has been receiving harsh criticism for being AWOL while Afghanistan fell more quickly than anyone in his administration expected, and the photo was apparently issued to fool the rubes into thinking that the great statesman was actually hard at work, ever-vigilant to preserve, protect, and defend the United States of America and its citizens.

The White House’s photo and caption, however, inadvertently only put a spotlight on the fact that the withdrawal from Afghanistan has been catastrophically mishandled. As the Taliban held a press conference from the presidential palace in Kabul just five weeks after Old Joe denied that “a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan” was “now inevitable” and insisted that it was “not true” that the Afghan government would “likely collapse,” the White House spoke blandly about Biden and Harris hearing “updates on the draw down of our civilian personnel in Afghanistan.”

It’s not a “draw down,” it’s a rout, and everyone knows it – everyone, that is, with the possible exception of Old Joe, sitting alone at his huge conference table, pretending to be briefed about this disaster and simultaneously pretending that it isn’t a disaster.

The photo also highlighted how useless Biden really is. It was supposed to show how he is still in charge of the situation even while “vacationing” at Camp David, but the fact that it is all that we have seen of him while the Taliban rapidly overran all of Afghanistan that was not already under its control only highlights the fact that where Biden is and what he is doing really doesn’t matter much in terms of the direction of United States foreign (or domestic) policy. The people who are running this administration continue to run it whether he is in Washington or Wilmington or Camp David. They bring him out for a press conference in which he takes only carefully scripted questions, or pose him for a photo-op now and again, but it’s all just for appearances.

While during the past two decades America has reportedly spent over US$700 billion in rebuilding Afghanistan and freeing the country from the threats of jihadist takeover, Joe Biden’s latest decision not only has just turned the entire US$700 billion spending in vain, Biden-Harris administration has given birth to an new Afghanistan, an Islamic Emirate, which will onwards harbor and sponsor radical Islamic militancy and terrorist acts. Most importantly, this withdrawal and opened huge prospects for the Pakistani spy agency Inter Service Intelligence (ISI), which now will use Afghanistan in spreading its vicious terrorist agenda inside India and Bangladesh.
