Iran endangering lives of children with COVID-19 vaccinations

0

No health authority worldwide has authorized the use of the COVID-19 vaccines in children under age 11 years so far, except China and Cuba. Yet, the Iranian regime is recommending that parents vaccinate their children as young as 3 years old most probably using COVID-19 vaccines developed in China and Cuba. This recommendation is medically unethical and puts children’s lives in danger. Parents should stand up for their children and fight the government mandate for children to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. If and when the World Health Organization (WHO), or another globally recognized health authority, authorizes any of the currently available COVID-19 vaccines for use in children-only then should parents carefully weigh the benefits and risks of the vaccine and make the best decision possible for their children.

Pfizer and BioNTech have asked US FDA, to authorize their COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in children aged 5-11. An expert panel is scheduled to meet later in October 2021.

Some of the countries that have approved or are considering vaccinating children are listed below:

France has started vaccinating children from 12 years upward, with their parent’s permissions.

Germany agreed to make vaccination available to all children aged 12-17.

Austria has started vaccinating children aged 12-17.

Britain in September recommended that 12-15 years old receive first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Norway, in September, started to offer one dose of Pfizer vaccine to children aged 12-15.

Canada, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong and Singapore approved use of Pfizer vaccine for children over 12.

Switzerland approved vaccinating 12-15 years old with Pfizer or Moderna’s vaccines.

New Zealand approved use of Pfizer vaccine for 12-15 years old.

China on June 5 approved emergency use of Sinovac’s vaccine for those between 3-17. (FYI, efficacy of Sinovac vaccine for first virus that came from China was 50 percent and for Delta virus is not effective).

Cuba has begun vaccinating children as young as 2 years old. Cuban children are being vaccinated with Soberana 2 and Soberana plus, two domestically developed vaccines.
