Biden brings espionage accusation against Donald Trump

The Biden administration, in what could be one of the Democrats’ last-ditch attempts to prevent President Donald Trump from running for office again in 2024, is working on an “espionage” case against him, based on documents FBI agents seized from his home this week.

A report in the Daily Mail contended that there were multiple classified documents seized from Trump’s home, but there also have been charges that the agents may have planted information, perhaps even bugging the home, as lawyers for Trump say the documents had been declassified already.

The Daily Mail said it appears the Democrats in power in Washington now are investigating President Trump for obstructing justice and Espionage Act violations.

The report said, “The FBI would have needed to prove reasonable suspicion that Trump committed a crime in holding on to the documents – reports suggest that criminal statutes cited in the not-yet-public warrant include espionage, removal of records and obstruction of justice.”

However, other disputes with post-presidential handling of documents routinely are handled as administrative matters.

The report said the FBI took 20 boxes from Trump’s Florida estate in an unannounced raid, even though Trump and his lawyers have confirmed he was cooperating with federal demands for documents he may, or may not, have had.

The FBI claims that its agents confiscated “four sets of top secret documents, three sets of secret documents, and three sets of confidential documents were retrieved.”

But Trump’s lawyers said they were declassified, as a president has the power to declassify any document.

One published report said the agents were looking for papers related to nuclear weapons, but critics immediately warned that report may have been planted in the media by the government.

Trump, in a statement, pointed out, “Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn’t need to ‘seize’ anything. They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago. It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request.”

In fact, reports are that federal agents visited Mar-a-Lago weeks ago, and Trump even provided a specific storage area and special lock for papers they wanted to review.

He compared the scenario to the debunked conspiracy theory that Democrats – working hand-in-glove with the Department of Justice and FBI – created against him during the 2016 campaign. They untruthfully claimed his campaign was colluding with Russia.

Trump’s supporters have said that the scheme is just the latest attempt by Democrats to find some way to prevent him from running for office in 2024. Former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik pointed out that two impeachment attempts and the special partisan committee looking into Jan. 6 so far all have failed.

He stunningly said his concern is that if the raid fails, Democrats may engage in an attempt to assassinate Trump.

The warrant demanded “Any physical documents with classification markings, along with any containers/boxes (including any other contents) in which such documents are locations, as well as any other containers/boxes that are collectively stored or found together with the aforementioned documents and containers/boxes.”

Also, “Information, including communications in any form, regarding the retrieval, storage, or transmission of national defense information or classified material; Any government and/or Presidential Records created between January 20, 2017,” the day Trump took office, and the end of his term.

One report claimed “nuclear weapons” documents were involved.

Trump explained, “Nuclear weapons issue is a Hoax, just like Russia, Russia, Russia was a Hoax, two Impeachments were a Hoax, the Mueller investigation was a Hoax, and much more.”

The report said, “Fall-out from the unprecedented search of a former president’s residence has dominated the political world ever since Monday and the Justice Department is under increasing pressure to explain its decision.”

The DOJ and FBI both were integral to the Democrats’ 2016 manufactured claims about his campaign colluding with Russia. The FBI, in fact, made up information to present to a court in order to get an order allowing spying on campaign volunteers at that time.

The truth, revealed later, was that the Hillary Clinton campaign funded the manufactured evidence and she even admitted she was trying to tie Trump to Russia at the time, to enhance her own campaign for president.
