Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader and a convicted fugitive Tarique Rahman has been using a number of Pakistani-British lawmakers including Khalid Mahmood, the MP for Birmingham Perry Barr against Bangladesh.
According to UK newspaper The Times, Khalid Mahmood, a senior Labour Party MP was known as “Catfish Khalid” because he “stalked” women online, then fired his aide Elaina Cohen after she raised allegations that he was protecting a criminal abuser in his office, a tribunal has been told.
The tribunal was also told that Khalid Mahmood agreed to meet an arms dealer representing Pakistan, which went against the UK Government policy at the time.
Elaina Cohen, a parliamentary aide of Labour Party MP won a claim in August this year against Khalid Mahmood for unfair dismissal with a tribunal also agreeing she was “isolated and marginalized” for a year before being sacked.
Cohen had accused Mahmood of sacking her after she raised concerns with him under whistleblowing regulations about allegations of criminal behavior by a fellow staffer.
The tribunal published its findings, agreeing that Elaina Cohen was unfairly dismissed.
Amongst locals, Khalid Mahmood is known as a “cold-hearted liar” a “womanizing con merchant” and “jealous”.
Tarique Rahman involved in narco-trade
Leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), with the active collaboration of Dawood Ibrahim are running drug trade by joining hands with Afghan Taliban narco-lords.
According to a credible source, two individuals namely Iftekhar and Yusuf, both hailing from Mumbai and members of Dawood’s D-Company got introduced to BNP leader Tarique Rahman’s friend Giasuddin Mamun through a Bollywood actress. Onwards Iftekhar and Yusuf were sending expensive gifts for Mamun and his friend, BNP leader Tarique Rahman, while they also reportedly supplied “foreign girls” to Mamun and Tarique during their overseas tours. At the request of Mamun, these Dawood Ibrahim men also reportedly had connected at least three more Bollywood and Tamil stars and arranged “private meetings” on a number of occasions.
In 2002, when the BNP-Jamaat coalition government was in power, Giasuddin Mamun and his business partner Tarique Rahman got connected to Mamta Kulkarni, a Bollywood star.
Since Tarique Rahman and Gisuddin Mamun got acquainted to Mamta Kurkarni and her husband’s narco-cartel, the BNP leader and his business partner got involved in narco-trade. Onwards, although Tarique fled Bangladesh in 2007 and Mamun landed in prison on corruption charges, they continued business relations with Dawood Ibrahim cartel through Mamta Kulkarni and her husband. By 2004, two years after Tarique Rahman and Giasuddin Mamun got connected to Mamta and her husband Vicky, they had already become a part of Dawood’s narco-trade in Afghanistan.
The source said, annually Tarique and Mamun are making millions of dollars only from narco-trade with Afghan Talibans.
Romance between Tarique Rahman and Khalid Mahmood
Tarique Rahman has been using several Pakistani-British lawmakers and spending lavishly for getting political benefits and using those UK lawmakers against Bangladesh and ruling Awami League. One of the Pakistani-British politicians in Britain is Khaled Mahmood, a Labour Party MP who has been maintaining deeper contacts with Tarique Rahman for years.
Talking to this correspondent, a credible source who is aware of secret deals between Tarique Rahman and Khalid Mahmood said, a Bangladesh-British national named Jahid Ahmed Choudhury introduced Pakistani-British MP Khalid Mahmood to Tarique Rahman. During one of these meetings between Tarique Rahman and UK Labour Party MP Khalid Mahmood, Tarique Rahman handed over a file with the request of helping him with his asylum matter. Additionally, Tarique Rahman promised of giving “massive business opportunities” to Pakistani companies as well as business firms recommended by Khalid Mahmood MP, once BNP returns to power.
In addition to meeting and bribing Khalid Mahmood MP, Tarique Rahman reportedly has also “compensated” few other Labour Party MPs, including at least one Bangladeshi-born British MP.
It is learnt from another source that a desperate Tarique Rahman has been meeting many influential Pakistani-born Britons and telling them that Bangladesh is being made into “anti-Pakistan” nation by the ruling Awami League.
Ever-since Tarique Rahman met Labour Party MP Khalid Mahmood, they started developing extreme intimacy as both were introducing females to each other for sexual pleasure. It is even rumored that Tarique Rahman has connected Khalid Mahmood with several small-time actresses from Bollywood and Tamil film industry. Khalid Mahmood reportedly also has introduced Tarique Rahman to few more Pakistani-British lawmakers as well as key individuals in the UK Government and intelligence agencies.
Meanwhile, a source in London told that correspondent that Tarique Rahman has already obtained UK passport recently where British-Bangladeshi Jahid Ahmed Choudhury, son of Mojir Uddin Ahmed Choudhury has played important role.
The source further said, Jahid Ahmed Choudhury, National ID number 9583157053 is currently at Dhaka Central Jail located at Keraniganj. He was arrested in a case lodged by the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. The case was lodged on November 2, 2022 under section 420, 406 (case number 34) with Hatirjheel Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
The source further suggested stating, Bangladesh authorities can get “bombshell information” from Jahid Ahmed Choudhury as he has been a key witness to Tarique Rahman’s meetings to Khalid Mahmood MP.
It said, “Jahid Choudhury knows a lot about Tarique Rahman’s activities against Bangladesh government and ruling Awami League”.
