Continuing to provide electronic services throughout the Eid holiday

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry revealed that it will continue to provide its electronic services to all customers during the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday, to ensure the continuity of business and electronic services without interruption.
The Ministry confirmed in a tweet on the social networking site Twitter that the Ministry’s supervisory teams continue to receive consumer complaints and communications, and the Ministry also provides its services to investors, customers and the business sector through the unified call center “16001”, social media accounts and electronic channels affiliated with the Ministry.
The Ministry also provides around the clock electronic services through its website, moci.gov.qa
On the other hand, the Ministry’s website states that the services include:

Single window services
The “single window” plays an important role in assisting investors during the various stages of establishing companies, starting from the planning process, passing through registration procedures, and ending with obtaining the required licenses and approvals through a single smart electronic interface.
The following services can be used:
Comprehensive incorporation (trade name – issuance of commercial register – issuance of commercial license)
Comprehensive renewal from one to five years (commercial register or license or both)

Investor services
These services provide the completion of many transactions related to starting a commercial activity and obtaining the required approvals for some commercial activities immediately without the need to visit other parties or wait, and electronic services are provided through a single source by integrating and linking with the internal systems of the Ministry of Economy and Trade and government agencies concerned with granting licenses and related approvals conducting commercial and economic business in the country.

Catering services
These services allow ration card holders to search for distributors’ addresses, view the commodities available at each distributor, renew the ration card’s password, view the card’s status, family allocations of food supplies, and know the remaining quantities of them, in addition to the possibility of extracting a report on the dates of purchases during the previous year.

Industry services
The industry services platform is the smart interface that supports the investor in the industrial sector, as it allows the completion of all transactions in the various stages of the industrial project. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is concerned with supervising commercial and industrial activity, directing it in accordance with the requirements of national development, working on business development, contributing to attracting investments, supporting and developing exports, developing methods and procedures for providing public services to the business and investment sector, supervising the practice of commercial professions, and registering commercial establishments. And investment, issuing the necessary licenses to practice its activities, supervising the regulation and control of markets in its field of competence, taking the necessary measures to protect the consumer, combating commercial fraud, protecting competition, preventing monopolistic practices, protecting intellectual property rights, setting the general policy for industrialization and developing national industries, and developing and exploiting its industrial zones. and proposing the establishment of new industrial zones.
