Democrat Pramila Jayapal honors September 9 terrorists

Twitter users were furious after a progressive Democrat representative included the 9/11 hijackers in her list of those she was mourning on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Washington Representative Pramila Jayapal, the head of the House Progressive Caucus, deleted her tweet and Instagram posts after backlash.

“Today we remember the 2,996 people who were killed on 9/11 and all those who lost their lives while serving our country in the forever wars that followed”, she said in the now deleted post.

She has not commented on why she deleted the tweet, but the number of innocent dead people from the 9/11 attacks is 2,977. The number 2,996 includes those victims with the 19 al-Qaeda terrorists who hijacked the planes.

It could have been a simple mistake, but among the Twitter users who were furious, were some who noted that she made the same “mistake” last year.

But she also deleted that old tweet on Monday, adding to the likelihood that it was a simple mistake.

She replaced that tweet with a new one that did not honor any of the victims.

“9/11 is when my path into activism and organizing truly began. So much changed that day, and so much has happened in the intervening two decades but our work still continues”, she said.

“Pramila Jayapal deleted ONE of her pro-radical Islamic terrorist statements As you can see, another one is still up below When will her @USProgressives denounce her pro-terrorist positions?” Republican Congressional candidate Matthew Foldi said.

“Never forget that Pramila Jayapal included terrorists in the 9/11 death toll. She did in 2021 and again in 2022”, Jason Rantz said.

“2,977 people died on 9/11. Rep. Jayapal wants to make sure you understand that she’s remembering the 19 hijackers who murdered the other 2,977 people all together as one. She just wanted to make sure you knew”, another said.

“Once again @RepJayapal demonstrates her hate for America by adding the 19 terrorists to those lost on 9/11. It’s sad that racist antiAmericans like Jayapal take up seats in Congress. When will Americans wake up and vote these domestic terrorists out of office?” Robert Cornecelli said.

She was not the only Democrat to raise eyebrows with what they said on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

President Joe Biden marked the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States by taking a swipe at his political opponents.

He spoke in front of the Pentagon where he said Americans “owe it” to the victims of 9/11 to defend democracy weeks after he labeled “MAGA Republicans” a threat to democracy.

“It’s not enough to gather and remember each September 11th those we lost more than two decades ago”, Biden said in his remarks. “Because on this day, it is not about the past, it’s about the future”, the president said, The Daily Mail reported.

“We have an obligation, a duty, a responsibility to defend, preserve and protect our democracy”, he said. “The very democracy that defends the right to freedom that those terrorists on 9/11 sought to bury in the burning fire and smoke and ash. And that takes a commitment on the part of all of us”.

“American democracy depends on the habits of the heart of we the people”, he said in the rain. “It’s not enough to stand up for democracy once a year, or every now and then – something we have to do every single day”.

“This is a day not only to remember, but a day of renewal and resolve for each and every American. And our devotion to this country – to the principles and the bodies – to our democracy – that is who we owe those remembered today”, the president said.

“That is what we owe one another. And that is what we owe future generations of Americans to come”, he said.

“’I have no doubt we will do this”, he said. “We will meet this significant responsibility. We’ll secure our democracy together – as one American, the United States of America”.
