Democrats may nominate Hillary Clinton in 2024

Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has addressed the rumors that she could be the Democrat nominee again in the next presidential election.

She appeared on the CBS Evening News on Tuesday to promote her new Apple TV docuseries “Gutsy” when she was asked about her future plans.

“Would you ever run for president again?” CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell said to the former presidential candidate.

“No, no,” she said, apparently ending the speculation. “But I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure that we have a president who respects our democracy and the rule of law and upholds our institutions.”

“What if Donald Trump runs again?” O’Donnell said.

“He should be soundly defeated,” the former secretary of state said.

“It should start in the Republican Party – grow a backbone! Stand up to this guy! And heaven forbid if he gets the nomination, he needs to be defeated roundly and sent back to Mar-a-Lago,” she said.

She then accused former President Donald Trump of being the head of a “seditious conspiracy” prior to January 6, 2021.

“You know, I was the secretary of state. I spent, you know, many days on airplanes, flying from place to place, encouraging people to have a real democracy. And one of the hallmarks of a real democracy is the peaceful transfer of power,” she said. “Was I happy when I beat Donald Trump by nearly 3 million votes but lost the Electoral College? No, I was not happy. Did I ever for a nanosecond think, ‘I’m gonna claim victory and try to get the Democrats to refuse to certify the election?’ No.”

She was also furious that people are still talking about her emails and her private server and spoke about it on Twitter.

“I can’t believe we’re still talking about this, but my emails…” she said on Tuesday. “As Trump’s problems continue to mount, the right is trying to make this about me again. There’s even a ‘Clinton Standard.’ The fact is that I had zero emails that were classified.”

“[Former FBI Director James] Comey admitted he was wrong after he claimed I had classified emails. Trump’s own State Department, under two different Secretaries, found I had no classified emails. That’s right: ZERO,” she said. “By contrast, Trump has hundreds of documents clearly marked classified, and the investigation just started. I’m more tired of talking about this than anyone, but here we are.”

Last month, Clinton has been brutally mocked after a tweet that many believed was her response to the raid on former President Donald Trump’s home.

“Every ‘But her emails’ hat or shirt sold helps @onwardtogether partners defend democracy, build a progressive bench, and fight for our values,” she said. “Just saying!”

Clinton famously kept classified information on a private email server, which was determined to be “extremely careless,” by former FBI Director James Comey who declined to press charges.

“Hillary is out here bragging that she nor Epstein client Bill will ever be raided by the FBI… because it’s clearly a two tiered justice system,” Tim Young said.

“The ultimate grifter. Selling merch on the Trump raid. Stay classy, Hillary,” Buzz Patterson said.

“Hillary is fundraising off of admitting she did worse than what Trump is accused of This is the perfect example of democrat double standards She is gloating that she is above the law and knows democrats will give her money for it,” Tim Pool said.

“She deleted 33,000 emails from a private server she used to conduct State Department business after she got a subpoena and now she’s bragging about it because the game show host that beat her got his house raided for having government documents in his private possession,” Alex Rubenstein said.

“Morality is now completely partisan. It’s OK for our team to break the law, joke about it, even profit off of it. The other team… different story,” Matt Rooney said.

“She openly brags about how the law didn’t apply to her when she made money off foreign governments as Sec of State, deleted 33,000 government emails on a private server with bleach after they had been subpoenaed, and then wonders why she never became president,” Greg Price said.
