Hundreds of girls abducted by Taliban fighter

With the fall of Mazar-e-Sharif and imminent fall of Kabul, Taliban fighters and their pimps have started raiding homes in search of young girls and unmarried women. According to a credible source, immediately after capturing Mazar-e-Sharif, Taliban fighters and their pimps started dragging girls and women within the age of 8-35 and place them inside Taliban-controlled houses. It is learned, once Kabul falls, these unfortunate girls and women will become sex slaves of the Taliban fighters, while many of them may also fall victims of trafficking and end up in brothels.

Salima Mazari, one of the few female district governors in the country, expressed fears about a Taliban takeover earlier Saturday in an interview from Mazar-e-Sharif, before it fell.

“There will be no place for women,” said Mazari, who governs a district of 36,000 people near the northern city. “In the provinces controlled by the Taliban, no women exist there anymore, not even in the cities. They are all imprisoned in their homes”.

Meanwhile, Pakistani spy agency Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) has started openly collaborating with Taliban fighters and other jihadist groups in Afghanistan. It may be mentioned here that, Taliban leadership is still headquartered in Pakistan. According to Foreign Policy Magazine, “Pakistan is supporting the Taliban’s offensive. Without Pakistani logistical support, the Taliban could not undertake the massive nationwide attack it is pursuing,” said Bruce Riedel, who served as a senior advisor on South Asia and the Middle East to four U.S. presidents. “The ISI [Pakistan’s powerful intelligence service] is already pleased it has ejected all the foreign troops from Afghanistan. The goal now is to induce panic in the Afghan government and army”.

This is all despite vehement denials from Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Taliban supports Al Qaeda, an ongoing threat to America.  With Afghanistan returning to the grips of Taliban, further escalation of Al Qaeda activities is anticipated by the counterterrorism experts. Western nations as well as several Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia may witness extended terrorist threats from Al Qaeda and other militancy outfits based in Afghanistan.

During a phone call between US defence secretary Lloyd Austin and Pakistan army chief general Qamar Javed Bajwa, the US sent a strong message to Pakistan’s leadership asking them to take steps for eliminating Taliban terrorists’ safe havens along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. But, as usual, Pakistan will not do anything in either combating Taliban or other militancy groups such as Al Qaeda.

Afghanistan government has been continuing alleging that Islamabad was aiding Taliban terrorists and was also sending thousands of terrorists to the country to destabilize the government.

Pakistani pimps looking for Afghan girls

Immediately after the fall of Mazar-e-Sharif and anticipating the imminent fall of Kabul, dozens of Pakistani pimps have intensified activities in Afghanistan offering money in exchange for young girls and women. It is also hinted that Pakistani nationals are looking for establishing dominance on Afghan cocaine and drugs production facilities with the help of Taliban fighters. It may be mentioned here that, jihadist forces including Afghan Taliban consider selling drugs to non-Muslims as a jihad (holy war). It may be mentioned here that Pakistani pimps maintain network in most of the Arab nations, where they regularly supply girls and women. It is feared that hundreds of Afghan girls and women may this time fall victim of human traffickers and end up in various brothels outside Afghanistan.
