Lawmakers feel concerned about Biden’s mental state

While the US president is increasingly showing signs of his inability due to numerous physical issues including mental state, lawmakers are also increasingly concerned about Joe Biden’s mental state.

Texas GOP Rep. Ronny Jackson, who previously served as the White House physician under the Obama and Trump administrations, has voiced the loudest concerns and the most frequently.

“The whole country is seeing his mental cognitive issues on display for over a year now, and there’s really no question in most people’s minds that there’s something going on with him, that he’s not cognitively the same as he used to be and, in my mind, not fit to be our president right now”, Jackson said during an interview.

“Every time he gets up and talks to the American people, it’s not just the American people that are watching him speak, it’s the whole world, and that’s part of what the problem is here,” Jackson also said. “He looks tired, he looks weak, he looks confused, he’s incoherent, and it sends a message of weakness all over the world, and they’re seizing up on that”, he added.

“He’s got 40 years of tape, you can go back and look at this man, so it’s not like we don’t have anything to compare it to,” Jackson said. “You can go back and look, he’s always made gaffes, he’s always made missteps, but never like this. This is something different. These aren’t gaffes…. This is something much more serious”.

Meanwhile, a photo montage of Joe and Jill Biden went viral on social media, leading some to speculate that the first lady may have been berating the president based on presumptions of his facial expressions.

The puzzling photo sequence, which was taken just ahead of Joe Biden leaving the White House to give a speech in Cleveland, led some online to once again question the president’s mental abilities.

The photos were taken by Associated Press photographer Patrick Semansky, according to the AP’s website.

“President Joe Biden speaks with first lady Jill Biden before boarding Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House, Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in Washington,” the newswire’s photo description reads. “Biden is traveling to Cleveland to announce a new rule that will allow major new financial support for troubled pensions that cover some 2 million to 3 million workers.”

The Western Journal notes:

In the first photo, Biden appears to be talking with his wife in a raised voice, judging by his expression.

In the next, his head is drooped slightly and he’s squinting.

The third photo, however, is what will get the most attention: Biden’s head hangs low, his face fixed in a childish frown.

In the final photo, a still-squinting Biden walks away.

GOP rapid response team member Jake Schneider tweeted it out as a “story in four parts.”

While there is no way to tell what the exchange was about and facial expressions alone are not determinant factors, the reactions online were immediate.

The exchange comes just a few weeks after Joe Biden generated another controversy when a reporter’s camera caught him with what appeared to be step-by-step instructions on what to say and what to do during an event, which once again led Americans to question his mental fitness.

“Next time someone tries to tell you Joe Biden isn’t a geriatric nursing home patient trapped in the White House, show them this. He needs a notecard with step by step directions telling him what to do, including “YOU take YOUR seat”. This is beyond embarrassing,” conservative podcaster and commentator Benny Johnson noted on Twitter in a post that contained the incriminating photos.
