Qatar News Agency adds 26 new languages to its news services

Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched a simultaneous translation service for its news in 26 international languages, in addition to the Arabic language, in implementation of its plan to expand the provision of its news services to include many languages ​​of the world.

The launch of the different languages ​​service comes within the framework of a plan to develop the work of the agency in line with the tremendous development globally, reach the public in all parts of the globe, communicate the voice of the State of Qatar in all languages, and promote the State of Qatar as a sports, tourism and economic destination.

The browser of the agency’s website can use this new service by selecting the news, then highlighting the part to be translated, to show a set of options, including the option of simultaneous translation for a large list of different languages.

His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Rumaihi, Director General of Qatar News Agency (QNA), said on this occasion that the launch of this new service gives the reader who speaks those languages ​​everything he wants to know about the State of Qatar and its economic, social, tourism and cultural policy, so that Qatar News Agency will be the gateway for the reader to get to know state up close.

The Director General of Qatar News Agency added that the agency was keen to make the new languages ​​the most widely spoken languages ​​in the world in order to reach the public in all parts of the world, explaining that the new service is in line with the policy that the agency is currently pursuing, which is based on keeping pace with technological development in all fields.

Last September, QNA launched its news services in three new languages: French, German and Spanish, thus raising the number of languages ​​of its news services to five international languages: (Arabic, English, French, German and Spanish).
