Qatar Tourism concludes its tour in 4 Chinese cities

Qatar Tourism concluded its promotional tour in China, which included four major Chinese cities, namely Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, from 27 to 31 March 2023.
During the tour, Qatar Tourism briefed more than 200 professionals in the travel and tourism sector, as well as online travel agencies (OTAs) and media specialized in the Chinese tourism market, on Qatar’s rich cultural heritage, advanced infrastructure and distinguished tourism offers for its visitors.
Qatar Tourism, in partnership with Qatar Airways, led a delegation that included a group of partners in the roadshow including WeChat Pay, Alipay, five Qatari hotels, three destination management companies and three Qatari official bodies. The Qatari delegation succeeded in highlighting Qatar’s position as an attractive destination that can meet the aspirations of visitors from China and promote the diverse and high-quality tourism products that Qatar abounds in.
China is one of the main export markets for tourism, as many of its travelers are looking for a destination that provides them with a luxurious tourist holiday in a modern city. Last year, the representative office of Qatar Tourism in China hosted 31 seminars and training courses for travel agencies and offices, in which 524 participants participated in the “Qatar Professionals” program, which enhances the participants’ knowledge of the various tourism experiences that Qatar provides to its visitors. The office also made hundreds of private calls. Sells tour packages all over China.
400 million TV viewers were also reached in China after the great cooperation with the Chinese networks “CCTV” and “Mejiu”, which led to the production of two programs, “Meet Qatar” and “Boiling Qatar”, during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
