QIB wins award for “Best Islamic Bank in Qatar”

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) won the “Best Islamic Bank in Qatar” award in the IFN Islamic Finance News survey, the international magazine specialized in the field of Islamic banking. The bank also won two awards, namely, “Most Innovative Bank in Qatar” and “Best Retail Bank in Qatar”, during the IFN Islamic Finance News Awards Ceremony held in Dubai.
The bank won the highest percentage of readers’ votes for IFN Islamic Finance News magazine, in the eighteenth edition of the Best Banks Survey, which is a unique measure of the performance of Islamic banking services in 35 countries, in one of the most prestigious awards in the field of Islamic banking.
More than 38,000 readers cast their votes this year, making the Islamic Finance News magazine’s Best Banks 2022 poll the largest in its 18-year history.
The latest version witnessed the introduction of five new categories that reflect the vitality of the Islamic banking scene in each local market, and the voting process has been improved, allowing only specialists to vote in their local market, making the result more accurate to reflect the Islamic banking scene.
Mr. Basel Jamal, CEO of QIB Group, considered that the selection of the readers of the Islamic Finance News magazine as the best Islamic bank in Qatar for the fourth year in a row, in addition to obtaining two additional awards, as the best retail bank in Qatar and the most innovative bank in Qatar, is testimony to the continuous improvement and digitization of the experience. Islamic banking that it offers to its customers, noting the continuation of this customer-centric approach towards developing innovative services and products for each segment of customers, and enhancing digital products and services to provide a simpler and faster banking experience securely.
