Qatar Chamber revealed that private sector exports during the first quarter of the current year 2023, according to the certificate of origin issued by the Chamber, amounted to about 9.1 billion riyals, achieving a growth of 17.5% compared to what its value was during the first quarter of the previous year 2022, when it reached at that time what Its value is about 7.73 billion riyals.
The Chamber indicated in its quarterly report that, according to the type of certificates of origin, the value of exports through the general form certificate increased to reach about 7.35 billion riyals, up by 32.3% from its value during the first quarter of the previous year 2022, which at that time amounted to about 5.55 billion riyals.
As for the Gulf Cooperation Council certificate form, the value of exports through it increased by 26.8%, reaching about 1.46 billion riyals, compared to about 1.15 billion riyals during the first quarter of the previous year 2022. As for the Arab region certificate form, the value of exports through it decreased by 52.5%, as its value About 139.3 million riyals, compared to about 293.3 million riyals that were exported during the first quarter of the previous year 2022.
The report indicated that the value of exports through the Certificate of Preferences model decreased by 97.5%, reaching about 15.18 million riyals, while it amounted during the same period of the previous year to about 616.4 million riyals. riyals compared to about 106.7 million riyals during the same period last year.

Exports by type of commodity
The report indicated that the value of exports of base oils and industrial oils increased during the first quarter of this year 2023 by a large rate of 222%, amounting to about 5.66 billion riyals, compared to the value of about 1.75 billion riyals that were exported from this group during the same quarter of the previous year 2022.
Petrochemical exports also increased by 26%, amounting to about 232 million riyals, compared to about 184 million riyals, the value of their exports during the same quarter of the previous year 2022. Industrial gas exports also increased by 55.4%, as about 200.8 million riyals were exported during the first quarter of 2022. The year 2023 compared to the value of its exports during the same quarter of the previous year 2022, which amounted to about 129.2 million riyals.
Fuel exports also increased during the first quarter of this year 2023 by 16.2%, reaching about 1.37 billion riyals, compared to about 1.18 billion riyals during the same quarter of the previous year 2022.
The report indicated that chemical exports during the first quarter of this year decreased by 48.7%, amounting to about 150 million riyals, compared to about 292 million riyals that were exported during the first quarter of the previous year 2022, and aluminum exports decreased by 62%, reaching a value of 728 million riyals. One million riyals, compared to 1.9 billion riyals in the same period last year, and iron exports decreased by 17.6%, amounting to about 282.6 million riyals, compared to about 343 million riyals during the same quarter of the previous year 2022.
According to the report, the value of paraffin exports during the first quarter of 2023 amounted to about 94.6 million riyals, decreasing by 46.1% compared to the value of paraffin exports during the same period in the previous year 2022, which amounted to about 175.4 million riyals.
As for the Lutrene commodity (low-density polyethylene), its export value amounted to 63.1 million riyals, decreasing by 82.8%, compared to its value during the same period in the previous year 2022, which at that time amounted to about 367 million riyals. The report indicated that these ten commodities in the list of the most important commodities of the private sector exports represent 97.1% of the total exports of the private sector, according to the certificates of origin issued by the Qatar Chamber during the first quarter of the year 2023, as the total exports of the ten commodities amounted to about 8.82 billion riyals. Destinations by economic blocs
The group of Asian countries (excluding the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab countries) topped the list of the most important export destinations for the Qatari private sector, according to the certificates of origin issued by the Chamber. The countries of this group received exports worth about 6.2 billion riyals, at a rate of 68.1% of the total exports.
In the second place came the group of Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which received 16.8% of the total exports, with a value of about 1.52 billion riyals. The fourth place is the group of countries in the Arab region (excluding the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council) with an export value of 159.8 million riyals, or 1.76% of total exports.
The United States of America came in fifth place, which received exports amounting to about 61.9 million riyals, equivalent to about 0.68%, then sixth was the group of African countries (excluding the Arab countries in the continent of Africa) with a rate of 0.29%, and the value of exports to the countries of the group amounted to about 26.6 million riyals. Then, a group of other European countries ranked seventh, as they received exports worth about 14.7 million riyals, which is equivalent to 0.16% of the total exports. Then, another group of American countries ranked eighth, with a rate of 0.04%, with a value of exports to them amounting to about 3.9 million riyals. In ninth place is the Oceania group, with an export value of about 2.3 million riyals, which is equivalent to 0.03% of the total exports.
According to the report, the number of countries that received the exports of the Qatari private sector during the first quarter of the year 2023 reached about (96) countries, which came at the forefront in terms of number are the African countries group with (29) countries, then the Asian countries group with (19) countries, followed by the African group The European Union has a number of (14) countries, then a group of Arab countries except for the Gulf countries with a number of (13) countries, then a group of other American countries with a number of (8) countries, then a group of other European countries with a number of (6) countries, then a group of Gulf Cooperation Council countries with a number of ( 5) Countries, finally the United States of America and one country in the Oceania region is Australia.

Private business partners
China topped the list of the most important trading partners according to the countries that represented destinations for private sector exports during the first quarter of the year 2023, receiving exports amounting to 3.1 billion riyals, or 34.1% of the total exports, followed by the Republic of India, which received exports with a value of about 2.4 billion riyals, which is equivalent to 26% of total exports,
Then the Sultanate of Oman came in third place, as its markets received exports amounting to about 989 million riyals, at a rate of 10.9%, and in fourth place came the Netherlands, which received about 728.5 million riyals of total exports, equivalent to 8%, and fifth came the United Arab Emirates, receiving exports With a value of about 336.7 million riyals, with a rate of 3.7%, then Germany ranked sixth, with a rate of 2.9%, with an export value of about 261.7 million riyals.
In seventh place was the Republic of Turkey, which received an amount of about 152.2 million riyals, equivalent to 1.7% of the total exports, and in the eighth place came Singapore, receiving exports worth about 146.2 million riyals, equivalent to 1.6%, then Indonesia ninth, receiving exports worth about 131.1 million riyals, equivalent to 1.4% of total exports, then Hong Kong ranked tenth, which received exports worth about 121.7 million riyals, which is equivalent to 1.3% of total exports.
These ten countries collectively acquired 92.5% of total exports, with a value of 8.4 billion Qatari riyals from private sector exports according to the certificate of origin during the first quarter of the year 2023, which amounted in total to about 9.1 billion riyals.
