Reducing and standardizing commissions for discounting merchants

The Qatar Central Bank decided to reduce and unify merchants’ discount commissions (fees paid by merchants in favor of collecting banks). The Central stressed that the decision aims to encourage the acceptance of electronic payment operations using cards, and Qatar Central published a list of fees paid by merchants through various cards.
