The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued 30 violations against a number of car agencies in the country, and referred them to the security authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures in this regard, due to their failure to provide spare parts for consumer vehicles during the specified time period, which is in violation of Article No. (16) of Law No. 8 of the year 2008 on Consumer Protection.

This procedure is based on the intensive periodic campaigns carried out by the Ministry’s inspectors on car agencies to ensure their commitment to providing spare parts for consumer vehicles, following complaints monitored by the Ministry through its various communication channels, which stated that a number of car agencies did not comply with providing spare parts for vehicles. consumers within the agreed upon time period.

In this regard, the Ministry affirmed that it will firmly confront anyone who is negligent in carrying out his obligations stipulated in Law No. 8 of 2008 regarding consumer protection and its executive regulations.

The Ministry is working to intensify its inspection campaigns to control violating practices, and to refer violators of laws and ministerial decisions to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures in their regard.
