The Qatar Stock Exchange began its trading today, with a slight decline, as the general index fell by 0.05%, losing 5.20 points and dropping to the level of 10354, compared to yesterday’s trading, “Wednesday”, under pressure from the banking sector and the industrial sector.
Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the decline in the index to the negative performance of the banking and financial services sector by 0.51%, the industrial sector by 0.35%, and the insurance sector by 0.30%. On the other hand, the performance of the transportation sector increased by 1.71%, the communications sector by 1.31%, and the goods and services sector. Consumer sector by 0.65% and the real estate sector by 0.44%.
At 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth 63.785 million riyals, distributed to 29.098 million shares, with the implementation of 2150 transactions.
