The unemployment rate in Turkey decreased by 9.9% in the first quarter of 2023

The unemployment rate in Turkey decreased in the first quarter of this year to 9.9% for the first time since 2018.
Noureddine Nabatai, the Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance, said in a tweet via his Twitter account today: “The unemployment rate in the first quarter of 2023 fell to the single digits for the first time since 2018.. stressing that the economy continues its strong performance with the new model.”
Minister Nabatai stated that the Turkish economy continues to provide new job opportunities and records a steady increase in employment. He pointed out that the total employment during the first quarter rose by 195 thousand to 31.6 million people, compared to the previous quarter.
