All the PR stunts and orchestrated propaganda carried out by western media seems to be falling flat as Russian forces are winning the battle, while Ukrainian soldiers and their neo-Nazi cohorts are falling like flies. According to Hanna Maliar, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine, Russian were currently storming Ukrainian positions on several fronts at the same time with greatest force. She said: “”Currently, the situation at the front remains difficult and shows signs of worsening further.
“The enemy has used all forces and means to capture the territory and encircle our troops.
“The enemy is firing along the entire front line. The fighting has reached its maximum intensity. The enemy is storming the positions of our troops simultaneously on several fronts.
“We have an extremely difficult and long stage ahead of us in the struggle for the complete liberation of our territories within internationally recognised borders.
“We need to understand that this is a war and, unfortunately, losses on our side are inevitable”.
Meanwhile, sensing inevitable defeat, Ukrainian president Zelensky and few of his top aides are secretly planning to leave Ukraine and take refuge in Poland. The source said, minute before his fleeing the country, Zelensky will address the international community through a pre-recorded “speech” where he will give detail explanations behind the defeat of his “soldiers” and people of Ukraine. Zelensky may give a fresh call on every Ukrainian citizen to “never give up weapons” and “never surrender”, although he is going to flee the country along with the members of his family.
Meanwhile, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated the need to set up the Southern Army Operational Command on the border with Ukraine.
“Time has so quickly prompted us to grow aware of the need to immediately set up this Operational Command. This will be the Southern Branch along with the Western and Northwestern Commands”, Lukashenko said in a video clip of a meeting at the republic’s Defense Ministry posted by the ‘Pool of the Top Official’ Telegram channel close to the presidential press service.
As the Belarusian leader pointed out, “even now that it has not been created [the Southern Operational Command], the republic has to practice the defense of our southern frontiers quickly and as part of the ongoing process today”.
“The troops, special operations forces and battalion tactical groups are on rotational orders and have been sent to the south by my decision and are shielding it [the border] together with the border guards”, Lukashenko said.
“We must carry out this rotation and this is my firm requirement. And we must keep troops practicing in this way in these wartime conditions but without a war so far”, the Belarusian president said.
In the meantime, a top advisor of Zelensky has conceded loss of Liman, a major Ukrainian stronghold in Donbass.
Russian troops have taken over the town of Liman in the northern Donetsk region, the government in Kiev revealed. Ukrainian forces have reportedly withdrawn west-southwest towards Slavyansk.
“We have lost the town of Liman,” Alexey Arestovich, a key adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, admitted in a livestream on Thursday.
Though Arestovich cited “unconfirmed reports,” Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots posted a video of Russian troops in the city shortly thereafter, captioned “Liman is ours.” Ukrainian troops “fled” west and southwest, Kots added, while covering their retreat with artillery fire.
The storming of Liman lasted less than a week, with Russian forces entering the city on May 23. There were unconfirmed reports, on Telegram channels, that as many as 500 Ukrainian troops had surrendered. By Wednesday, three quarters of Liman was allegedly under Russian control, with the remaining Ukrainian troops said to be fortifying the industrial zone on the southwestern edge of town.
However, an unverified video posted on TikTok on Wednesday purported to show a group of Ukrainian soldiers clinging to an armored vehicle driving at high speed away from the town, amid an artillery bombardment.
Liman was among the first towns in the Donetsk region to be taken over by militia opposed to the government in Kiev after the 2014 Maidan coup. Ukrainian “anti-terrorist” forces captured it in early June that year, and used their positions to lay siege to Slavyansk, where the separatist militia held on for another month.
News of the Ukrainian defeat at Liman comes amid the ongoing advance of Russian forces from Popasnaya, which threatens to completely cut off thousands of troops loyal to Kiev in the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk pocket.
Russia attacked the neighboring state in late February, following Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.
The Kremlin has since demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.
