Bangladeshi film director eyeing on international audience

Award-winning Bangladeshi movie maker Golam Sohrab Dodul is all set to begin the shooting of his new film named Oprotyashito (Unwarranted), which will be made in three languages – Bangla, English, and French to widen the spectrum of Bangladeshi films. The director of this film is eyeing on the international audience. Bangladesh’s leading production company and content provider, Crown Entertainment is producing this film.

Talking to this newspaper, Golam Sohrab Dodul said, “For many years, I have been dreaming of making a film truly of international standard. This film will be based on a story written by internationally known multi-award-winning journalist and writer Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury.”

He said the film is going to portray the agonies and sufferings of a particular segment of the society.

According to Crown Entertainment, the filming of Oprotyashito is scheduled to begin in October this year, while the production company is willing to release it worldwide through video streaming platforms like Netflix.
