In the Bangladeshi entertainment industry, Himu Akram is a popular name for his superb skill of making dramas, telefilms, and small-screen contents. He has succeeded in establishing himself as one of the most prolific makers in the past 14 years. During the upcoming Eid Ul Azha, the second-largest religious festival of Muslims, Himu Akram’s latest creation ‘Bedana Bibir Binni’ will be aired of Channel-i, leading private television channels in Bangladesh. Filming of this telefilm was complete recently and has been filmed at different locations in the capital’s old part named Old Dhaka.

Himu Akram himself has written the script of the film.

The story of the telefilm revolves around a housewife (Bedana), her daughter Binni and house tutor Joglu. Popular small screen actress Munira Akhter Mithu has played the role of Bedana while actress Mumtaheena Toya has portrayed the role of Binni and actor Marzuk Russell will be seen as Joglu in the film.

Himu Akram’s ‘Bedana Bibir Binni’ is produced by Crown Entertainment, Bangladesh’s largest production company and content provider.

The casting line of the telefilm are Marzuk Russell, Toya, Munira Mithu, Shohel Khan, Monalisa Dipa, Iqbal Hossain, Chashi Alam, Raju Ahsan and Daud.

For the first time, a popular actress of Dhaka’s small-screen, Toya has worked in any project of Himu Akram. Talking about this telefilm, Toya said: “It is my first work with Himu Akram. He is a talented director. He always makes good quality dramas or telefilms. I’m very hopeful about the project.”

Himu Akram is optimistic about ‘Bedana Bibir Binni’. He said, “The story of ‘Bedana Bibir Binni’ is different from my other works. The audience will accept the telefilm positively.”

For Crown Entertainment, this is their first venture with Himu Akram. Talking to this correspondent, Tajul Islam, Deputy CEO of the company said, “Himu Akram is a very talented director and it is our great pleasure producing this telefilm. Meanwhile, we already are talking about continuing our cooperation with this popular director and hopefully, the Bangla-speaking audience will get many more dramas and telefilms being directed by Himu Akram.”
