Bangladesh’s largest production company and TV content provider, Crown Entertainment has sent letters of the leading television channels in the country, expressing interest of buying all the special-occasion chunks in advance for the next year. The company also intends to continue doing the same in the subsequent years.

It may be mentioned here that, Crown Entertainment has played a vital role in resuming activities of the Bangladeshi entertainment industry during the ongoing challenges posed by coronavirus and lockdown. The company also has produced a large number of single-episode dramas and special drama serials for most of the leading television channels in the country.

Talking to this correspondent, Tajul Islam, Deputy CEO of Crown Entertainment said, “We are going to buy the special-occasion chunks on most of the leading television channels for the entire year from 2021. Additionally, we also are willing to buy the chunks of Friday’s single-episode dramas”.

He said, “Crown Entertainment has already emerged as the largest production company in Bangladesh and we have made an elaborate plan of closely working with the television channels, sponsors, and agencies in not only offering better content to the broadcasters and advertisers, but we also are looking for offering better entertainment to the audience”.

Makers and producers in Bangladesh did stop activities since March this year due to lockdown, while many of the artists and technicians have already become terrorized of being infected with the coronavirus. But, taking the total risk of investment, Crown Entertainment started shooting dramas and films from the first week of June, which had not only been helpful to the artists and technicians but also has played a significant role in removing coronavirus fear from the minds of the artists and technicians.

Crown Entertainment has already communicated with RTV, NTV, Deepto TV, Bangla Vision, Nagorik TV, Masranga TV, Asian TV, Channel-i, and Boishakhi TV, expressing its willingness of buying all the peak-hour chunks of all special occasions in 2021, including the weekly drama chunks on Fridays. The company also is looking for providing various types of content including Bangla feature films, short films, special length films and dramas to various international video streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, tubi, Amazon, HoiChoi, Zee5, Adda Times etc.
