Dhamtari / Raipur, May 4 (His). 10 people died in a fierce collision between a truck and a Bolero on Dhamtari-Kanker Road National Highway-30 late last night. The dead include four men, five women and a child. All are residents of Soram-Bhatgaon in Dhamtari district. A seriously injured six-month-old girl has been sent to Raipur for treatment.
According to the information given by Purur police station in-charge Arun Kumar Sahu, this road accident happened three kilometers before Jagtra village of Balod district at 10.30 pm on Wednesday night. 11 people riding in a Bolero from Soram-Bhatgaon went to village Markatola in the procession. From there he was returning home late at night. Three kilometers before Jagtra on the Dhamtari-Kanker National Highway, a Bolero collided with a speeding truck coming from Kanker, in which ten people of the same family were killed. There were 11 people in the Bolero.
Nine of them died on the spot. Whereas, a child died in a private hospital in Dhamtari. Police has sent a seriously injured six-month-old girl to Raipur for treatment. The police is investigating the matter
