In India, 1,590 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in a day, which is the highest in the last 146 days, while the number of patients under treatment has increased to 8,601. This information was given by the Ministry of Health.
According to the data updated by the Health Ministry at 8 am on Saturday, the death toll rose to 5,30,824 after three patients died in Maharashtra and one each from Karnataka, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand due to corona virus. As per the data, the daily infection rate was recorded at 1.33 per cent while the weekly infection rate was recorded at 1.23 per cent.
With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in India has increased to 4,47,02,257. The number of patients under treatment is 0.02 percent of the total cases of infection, while the rate of people recovering from Kovid-19 was recorded at 98.79 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, the number of people recovering from the infection has increased to 4,41,62,832 while the death rate was recorded at 1.19 percent. Under the nationwide anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign, 220.65 crore doses have been given so far.
