According to the order issued from the level of the Union Finance Ministry, from July 1, 2023, the PAN card not linked to Aadhaar will be canceled or made inactive. According to the received data, the number of PAN holders in the country is about 61 crores. Out of these, about 51 crore PANs have been linked with Aadhaar card.

First go to the Income Tax e-filing portal, on the home page select the option of Link Aadhaar Status, after selecting the Link Aadhaar Status option, enter the PAN and Aadhaar number, after which a pop-up message will appear, if Aadhaar and PAN are linked , the message will appear – Your PAN is already linked with the given Aadhaar. If not, a message will appear – PAN is not linked to Aadhaar, then click on Link Aadhaar to link Aadhaar with PAN card, after which a message will appear Aadhaar-PAN linking request has been sent to UIDAI for verification, Link Aadhaar Check the status later by clicking on the status.
