A woman and child injured in Gorlovka during the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

A woman and a child were injured as a result of shelling by Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery in the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). This was announced by the mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko in his Telegram channel on Tuesday, February 28.

According to Prikhodko, the victims were residents of the Komsomolets residential area, born in 2017 and 1983. They receive medical care.

Also, from the attacks of Ukrainian artillery in the Nikitovsky district, trees caught fire and power lines were damaged. Even near a residential building on the street 60 years of the USSR, a gas pipe was broken. The blast wave shattered windows in the local nursery-garden No. 148 and in the Komsomolets Palace of Culture.

Moreover, the mayor of Gorlovka added that the residential area “Komsomolets” after the impact of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was partially disconnected from the power grid.

“The glazing of houses at the addresses: st. 60 years of the USSR, 37, 39, 41, 53. Partially de-energized house number 37 on the street 60 years of the USSR,” Prikhodko specified.

Earlier, on February 24, one person was injured from shelling by Ukrainian militants of a bus station in the village of Vasilyevka in the Zaporozhye region. The Izvestia journalist specified that at the time of the attack there were neither military equipment nor personnel of the Russian army.

On February 6, a woman suffered from artillery shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kalininsky district of Gorlovka. The Mayor of the City, Ivan Prikhodko, added that district boiler house No. 34 was also damaged by shelling.

Russia continues a special operation to protect the Donbass, whose residents refused to recognize the results of the 2014 coup d’état in Ukraine. The decision to start it was made on February 24 against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by Ukrainian troops.
