Adani Skill Development Center (ASDC) was registered as a non-profit company on 16th May, 2016 to skill the youth of India and contribute to nation building. As it completes seven years, it has become the first skill center in the world to enter the metaverse. It started with two courses. With this milestone, Adani Foundation is moving forward in the direction of training the youth of the future through state-of-the-art technology.

With Metaverse, ASDC is stepping into a historic phase where a unique convergence of knowledge, skills and technology is taking place. This creates an environment for creating an immersive educational experience. Recognizing the national urgency in healthcare and safety standards, ASDC has prioritized courses in the healthcare and hospital industry (General Duty Assistant) and fire safety at Metaverse.

Imagine the excitement of students, wearing a headset to enter a virtual classroom and then not only effectively acquire theoretical knowledge but also practical exercises in the metaverse. It is a game-changer that equips the trainees with an in-depth understanding of their chosen field. Students across 40 ASDC centers across 13 states in India will be able to enroll for these courses on Metaverse.

ASDC will also make these courses available to students across the world. One can enroll for these courses online and learn the same using a computer as well as experience the virtual classroom on their screen without the help of a VR headset.

Adani continues to integrate the needs of the enabling industry with its curriculum. By offering skill-development courses through advanced technologies such as augmented reality for welding and simulation-based software for crane operation, it is driving the development of India’s youth in line with domain specific demands. The coming of a skill center in Metaverse is a new revolution in that direction.

In a short span of seven years since its inception, Adani Saksham has skilled 1.25 lakh people out of which more than 56 thousand people are employed or running their businesses. Known for a focus that contributes to the well-being and wealth of the communities across Adani Group businesses and beyond. It is currently operational in 5,753 villages in 19 states, making life easier for 73 lakh people.
