Ambati Rayudu completes 200 matches in Indian Premier League

New Delhi, May 11 (Hindustan Times). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Ambati Rayudu has completed 200 matches in his Indian Premier League (IPL) career. The 37-year-old Rayudu achieved the feat in an IPL 2023 match against Delhi Capitals in Chennai.

In his 200th IPL match, Rayudu scored 23 runs in 17 balls, during which he hit a four and a six. His runs came at a strike rate of over 135. Throughout his IPL career, Rayudu has scored 4,308 runs in 184 innings at an average of 28.53 and a strike rate of 127.27. He has scored one century and 22 fifties in his career, with a best score of 100*.

He represented Mumbai Indians in 114 matches from 2010-2017. He scored 2,416 runs for the franchise at an average of 27.15 at a strike rate of 126.16 with 14 half-centuries. His best score was 81*.

He has been representing CSK since 2018. So far he has played 86 matches for CSK, scoring 1,892 runs at an average of 30.52 at a strike rate of 128.71. He has scored one century and eight half-centuries for the franchise, with a best score of 100*. He has won the IPL trophy a total of five times with Mumbai (2013, 2015 and 2017) and CSK (2018 and 2021). Talking about the match, in this match, CSK, batting first, scored 167 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, the Delhi team could only manage 140 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
