Anti-liberation forces won’t rise further

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim said that anti-liberation forces will not be allowed to rise further in the soil of Bangladesh.

“Some Razakars of ’71 are creating instability in the country under various names. Islam does not believe in violence, terrorism or militancy, neither do we Bangladeshis support those who stir unnecessary chaos to break the harmony of the country,” he told the inaugural function of the Naval Rally, 2021 at Mill Barrack Naval Jetty in Gandaria here.

The function was organized by the Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Awami Matsyajibi League, Dhaka marking Bangabandhu’s birth centenary and the country’s golden jubilee of independence.  

Rezaul said Prophet made exaggeration forbidden in religion, but some unruly and communal forces in the name of Islam want to take Bangladesh to a new state of instability.

The minister called upon the leaders and activist of the organization to build resistance wherever there is criticism of Bangabandhu’s ideology, Sheikh Hasina’s leadership and the spirit of the liberation war.

President of Bangladesh Awami Matsyajibi League Mohammad Sayidur Rahman presided over the function.

Anti-Bangladesh forces continue notoriety

On March 30, a woman named Shahana Rashid gave a post on her Facebook against the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was earlier reported in the media stating Shahana is connected to Jamaat-e-Islami, while her sons are involved into terrorist activities and her youngest son is affiliated with radical Islamic militancy activities.

According to media reports, Shahana also is involved in money laundering and terror finance. Her son is studying at Malaysia’s LimKokWing University, which is accused of breeding militants and racists.

A report was published in Blitz, immediately after the anti-state status on Facebook by Shahana caught attention of the reporters of this newspaper. But until filing of this report, no action has been initiated against Shahana.

Commenting on the Facebook post, a senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court said, members of law enforcement agencies, especially the Cybercrime Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police as well as Rapid Action Battalion should have taken immediate steps in drawing legal action against Shahana Rashid.
