Bihar: Gold reserves found in Banka! Geologists engaged in search, taking samples by drilling in the ground

In different villages of Katoria block of Banka district of Bihar, hundreds of tonnes of precious minerals including gold have been found buried under the ground. Regarding this, the team of Geological Survey of India has also started working in this area. Although the gold treasure inside the ground has not been officially confirmed yet. But further process has definitely started for the purpose of digging gold at the identified places, which is a great news for this area. Gold is expected to be found in Chandepatti village under Lakrama Panchayat of Jaipur police station area. Whereas in Baghmari village of Barwasini Panchayat of Katoria police station area, the GSI team is investigating by marking four places regarding the possibility of getting precious minerals including mica.

The elders of the area claim that in Chandepatti village of Jaipur police station, about 150 meters away from the place where the machine has been installed, the land was excavated during the British era itself. According to the villagers, a big pit was made here by the British by cutting stones and soil in the British era itself. The remains of the mined pit are still present here. According to the information, a total of four points have been marked in Baghmari of Katoria area and sample collection has been done by drilling with machine. Exploration work is also expected to be done at many places in Jaipur area. The possibility of having gold, diamond and coal is being expressed here.

At present, the investigation work is on on the Khatiani land of Meghlal Yadav, a resident of Chandepatti village of Jaipur police station area. Many big modern machines and a team of experts have been engaged in this work. Here District Mining Officer Kumar Ranjan said that the GSI team that reached from Delhi will dig underground with a machine. The collected samples will be sent to the laboratory for testing. The survey work has been started with the possibility of getting precious minerals here. Restrictions have been imposed on the movement of common people at the excavation site.
