Bihar News: Death sentence to the accused in the case of rape and murder of a teenager in Sasaram

Sasaram: The court of ADJ I Manoj Kumar, located at the District Court of Law, sentenced Shahid of Dhansoi village of Buxar, the only accused found guilty, to be hanged on Thursday in a 14-year-old case related to rape and murder of a teenager. . It is to be known that in relation to the ongoing trial in the court of ADJ I in the trial session case number 146/2010 of Karghar police station case no. The incident took place on June 2009 at 2:00 pm.

Had forcibly entered the house and carried out the incident

At that time the accused Shahid, a resident of Dhansoi village of Buxar district, used to run a grocery shop in Mehboob market of Dinara village of district. He used to frequently visit his sister’s house in Semri village of Karghar police station area. In this sequence, on June 16, 2009, he came to Semri village. Meanwhile, his eyes fell on a teenager who had come to her house from the neighborhood carrying cow dung, after which the accused found the teenager alone in the house at 2:00 pm and forcibly entered the house at 2:00 pm and raped her. Fearing the disclosure of the incident, the accused Shahid had strangled the girl to death.

Testimony of 11 witnesses was recorded

In this case, the testimony of a total of 11 witnesses was recorded on behalf of the prosecution, after which the court found the accused guilty of this heinous murder and sentenced him to death. Along with the death sentence, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 76,000 on him. The accused has been sentenced to death under Section 448 of the Indian Penal Code with one year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000, under Section 376 with a fine of Rs 25,000 and for life imprisonment under Section 302 with a fine of Rs 50,000.
