Bihar Weather: Due to seasonal fluctuations in the Bay of Bengal, there is a forecast of different temperatures in North and South Bihar. Due to the effect of Mocha storm, there are chances of rain especially in Samastipur, Darbhanga and Madhubani in North Bihar. Apart from this, there are chances of rain, cold and strong wind in some other parts of north-eastern Bihar. The wind speed can be 40 kilometers per hour. According to IMD, due to rain in North Bihar, there is a possibility of a decrease of two to three degrees in mercury in the next 72 hours. On the contrary, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by three degrees in South Bihar.

Due to the effect of Mocha storm, heavy rains have been recorded in many parts of the state from Sunday evening to Monday morning. Maximum rainfall has been recorded in Supaul’s Raghopur 42 mm, Biharpur 34 mm, Marauna 32, Triveniganj 23.4 and Bhim Nagar 22.4 mm. Apart from this, 38.2 mm in Murliganj, 35 mm in Salkhua in Saharsa, normal to moderate rainfall has been recorded in many areas of Araria, Madhepura and Madhubani. There is also information about hailstorm in Champaran region. The pre-monsoon rainfall in Bihar has so far been 47.1 mm, which is almost normal.

Effects of Mocha storm On Monday, an average drop of two to three degrees Celsius has been recorded in the day temperature. In Bihar, only five places like Gaya, Motihari, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Aurangabad and Jiradei recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius on Monday. The mercury remained very low in the rest of Bihar. Gaya recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.8 degree Celsius on Monday in Bihar.
